Went there with my cousin - she has been there before and made wine. We went and had a tasting and a glass of wine. You go in and they sign you up for a tasting. When they call your name, you choose either sweet or dry wines. Then you taste about 5-6 different wines under that category. You can then buy whatever wines you like. They have SO many really cute and funny gifts in the store - from coasters and wine stoppers to door mats, pet gifts, hats, shirts - you name it! I could have bought alot more stuff!!
While the men went fishing, the girls went drinking! We did the wine tasting and then sat on the patio drinking a wine-a-rita and eating cheese and crackers. They have the cutest gifts as well!
What a great wine shop. It was our first visit so we got a tour of the place and had the chance to try their selection of wine. From dry to sweet, their selection was affordable and very very drinkable :) Their gifts were great! Including official "Fight like a girl" cancer awareness items. I look forward to coming back to check out their seasonal offerings.
My fiancé and I have been here twice and we both love it! The wine is great and the outdoor patio is so nice to sit on. It's so nice to sit under the heaters and sip on the delicious wine. The store has so many neat gifts! It's a great place to shop for anything wine related. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is staying nearby or just passing by!
This is a really cute little place! We stopped in while our family was staying at a local cabin. They have lots of cute things that you don't see anywhere else. They have cookbooks with catchy names, bar accessories and fun girly things. In the back is a small bar top where you can Wine taste. As you taste you can select the wines you like on the sheet, they'll have them at the front to check out when you're ready. I grabbed 2 bottles, the pink rose happened to be one of their charity wines, where they gave a portion of the sale to the Susan G Komen Foundation. Prices were reasonable, under $20 for most bottles & items. I would definitely stop here again!
Fun place to visit! Neat gift shop, wine tasting. Fun girls in the tasting area, good wines with part of the profits going to charity.
My 83 year old mother, 2 sisters, 1 niece went to the shop 3 times. It was so nice and dog friendly.
This is the most fun place in southeast Oklahoma. The wine is great, and the girls are so helpful and fun. The only man in the bunch Terry. " The Wine Maker", you must stop in when you go the Beavers Bend area.
During our stay at Broken Bow, we wanted to stop here and I'm so glad we did! The wine is very good and affordable. Several of the selections benefit a great cause, either a % to the local dog shelter or cancer research. The atmosphere is relaxing and the gift shop is adorable! I will stop in again the next time I'm in this area!
We were checking out the fishing on Beavers Bend when we spotted the billboard for this place. Being a wine lover I had to stop. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, with stories about the three ladies who started this endeavor. Top off the funky little shop, great shaded outdoor seating, pet friendly inside and out, with some very nice wines - well, let's just say I'd drive lots farther out of my way to go there again. My personal choice of wine, by the way, was Groovin. Yummy!
My Husband and I had a great time wine tasting. We were surprised how good it was. The price was even better. We brought a couple of bottles home for family as well. Don't forget to try the wine o' Rita's!! They are great!!
I have to say.. This little wine shop seems out of place in this area, but they have no problem with filing their store with tourists and neighboring locals. The gift shop areas were very nice and the store itself is well designed and attractive. We enjoyed the wine tasting bar and checking off the wines we loved and wanted to buy as we tried each one. The peach wine-arita was delicious! You must have a glass, which by the way comes in a souvenir wine glass for 10$. We left with 6 wines, twisted sister being my favorite and a couple of wine-arita mixes. We have never heard of wine-arita before and now we make them at home all the time!
Rated 5 overall but 3 for interesting and sights because sometimes "interesting" isn't what you are looking for. There was no tour, but the owners and employees were fun. After the tasting we had a glass of wine on a pleasant little patio.
We missed going to Girls Gone Wine on our last trip to Broken Bow so we made a point to take some time to visit it this time. Before going, I looked on their website and saw that you could actually make your own wine here. That sounded like fun so my BFF and I headed over there when they opened on Monday morning. You do need to call ahead if you are going to do the wine making which we did. First, you get to do a wine tasting to decide which wine you want to make. We tasted all of the sweet wines and decided which one we wanted to make. We were given a "wine-a-rita" (so yummy!) to drink while the wine maker was getting our stuff set up. Once he was ready we proceeded to begin the process. He explained each step and the overall science of wine-making - I actually learned a lot! Once we were finished he sealed it up and let us know that he would complete the next two steps over a 5-9 week period then our wine would be ready for us to come back and bottle it & label it - how fun is that?? We're already planning our return trip so we can complete the process. When you are finished you get 30 bottles of wine with your own label. We saw some of the label examples and it looks like lots of folks do this for weddings - cute idea! Of course we did some shopping in the cute gift shop and picked up the "wine-a-rita" mix and 2 bottles of wine to go with it. Great place to hang with your girlfriends or your hubby!
Able to taste your choice of wines, indulged in a glass of frozen magic. Took 3 bottles home. Very impressed with the college scholarships these girlies give from profits.
