route 66 vintage iron motorcycle museum

We are not bikers so we did not go through the display of vintage motorcycles. But there are quite a few Route 66 reproductions that are fun to see and buy. Even earrings.

This unusual museum boasts unique and out of the ordinary cycles. Many of them are 750 cc and larger. One room is devoted to racing memorabilia. Great parking and lots of cycle merchandise including several cycles themselves are available.

If you like old bikes, you will love this place. Lots of OLD cool bikes and motorcycling history. The only thing that could make it better was to have a small old time soda fountain that we could sit and have a snack. Awesome place. And by the way, this review is coming from a woman. YES gilrs like old bikes too!

If you are a motorcycle fan and happen to find yourself in Miami, Oklahoma then I'd say definitely stop at this attraction. The museum is really small but the bikes and accessories are beautifully displayed. They also have a fun Evil Knievel display including among other things his van, suit and vintage toys inspired by his stunts. The museum is free although they will accept donations. In lieu of that maybe you'll purchase a vintage motorcycle t-shirt or Route 66 sign from the well-stocked gift store.

Not much to do in Miami, Oklahoma, so this was a fun diversion from gambling. We made a donation and was free to tour at our leisure. The staff was very nice. This was our first motorcycle museum and they had a lot of bikes, helmets and stuff in a small area. If you need a t-shirt, you can find one here. Unless you read everything, this can be toured in less than an hour so it makes for a nice, quick break.

The museum is free. They ask for donations. There are some vintage bikes, and some newer ones. A couple of choppers, some Indians, a Royal Enfield and some Harleys. They also have a collection of helmets. The museum also sells t-shirts and other items. It is a fun place to visit!

Good place to go and visit and lose yourself in all things motorcycle for a few hours. The staff were friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. Was lovely to see many old and well looked after motorcycles.

This is a pretty cool museum. Very nice people. Not many places have triumph stuff but this museum does. Wish they had tank tops that said triumph though.

Very nice display of old motorcycles. There were about 50 of them. Worth a look. Also has some good leather products for sale.

We visited Miami, Okla., on a Monday and knew there would be limited attractions open. This museum is open on Mondays and since it was starting to rain, we ducked in and spent an hour or so looking at motorcycles. There is no fee to get in but the museum asks for donations. The biggest attraction is Evel Knievel's command post van and some photos, facts and memorabilia from his glory days. Although not a great fan of motorcycles, I did enjoy looking at and reading about how they have evolved over the years. The museum is small but has quite a bit of history packed into its limited space. It is certainly educational and offers some unique displays.

This was a great little museum/store. The owner was very gracious, even though he was about to close for the day. There is an impressive amount of displays and items and history to check out. Most bikers, sports fans and families would enjoy this.

This is a very interesting museum, with lots of old bikes and historical cycle items and memories. Neat collection of Evil K stuff and other stunt riders items.It's free! Nice Route 66 gift shop too. Awesome stop!

I was impressed by the collection of motorbikes in the museum. It was very quiet when we visited so I'm not sure how it survives financially. Well worth a visit if you're passing through (as we were, on our Route 66 adventure).

Nice collection of vintage bikes, especially the Indians room - obviously the downside was that you cant turn them over let alone take them out and about.

The museum is relatively small but is well kept. It includes Evel Knievel's "command post" van and uniform from his attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon, multiple classic motorcycles, and a full room devoted to Indian motorcycles. The gift shop items are reasonably priced and includes a wide variety of items, from leather gear to vintage time signs.
