We really enjoyed this museum. Liked the french impressioninst paintings best and the unique salon room setting for the paintings felt like you were in someone's home. Very intimate and fun. Enjoyed some of the American impresssionists as well. Very nice museum and free admission--although i ade a completely voluntary donation on way out. Uncrowded . I recommend it. My kids enjoyed it too. We had a hard time finding the entrance. It faces away from the main quad and campus entrance.

A little bit of everything - including Van Gogh and Picasso. In Norman, Oklahoma! Good collection of Native American art. Well worth the visit. FREE!

People are often surprised that a town of 100,000 has a lovely art museum, a ballet company and a theater company. We also have 4 distinct restaurant/shopping areas. This museum features several famous artists and traveling exhibits. Worth the hour or so it will take to tour it!

Some truly amazing pieces of art and the new addition is a work of art itself. The new wing houses some well known Impressionist and Modernist pieces that were unexpected for a University collection. There is also a heavy emphasis on Western and Native American art - fitting for it's location. Very friendly & helpful staff as well.

What a nice museum! The employees are wonderful and the gift shop is great. The collect is exceptional and I enjoyed this place a lot. Pictures are encouraged too!

I like this art museum because it isn't too large, it is a great way to spend a couple hours. The focus is American art, particularly Native American themes, pottery, jewelry. It does have a sampling of the typical art museum elements, though, such as a few pieces of fine European art (Van Gogh, Rembrandt, etc), a modern art collection, a special exhibits hall, this time featuring the art of war and another modern art exhibit. There is only a small number of Asian or African art objects and no classical sculptures, but this doesn't diminish the appeal of the museum. The Native American pottery and art collection is wonderful. I like that they put books from the gift shop near the art so you can sit and read more about the art as you view it.

This museum has an interesting mix of Western, Indian and modern art, as well as an impressive collection of Impressionist art. It takes about an hour or two to go through the whole collection, which is about right for me. There aren't many colleges in the nation that can boast of such a fine collection.

We visited the day after Thanksgiving with 4 adult kids ages 23-31 y/o, two of which are OU students. It is quite interesting, thought provoking & easy to navigate. It's a pleasant change of pace & came highly recommended! I would compare this to a much larger city's museum. Free admission thanks to OU. We enjoyed shopping in the MUSE, the Museum Store.

This art museum is free to the general public (how's that for value?) The various shows offer great works by incredible artists from all eras and genres of fine art. I really enjoyed the George Bogart retrospective and a number of years ago enjoyed the Bruce Goff exhibit.

A quiet soothing place with great exhibitions of various art schools from European to Native American art and masters from van Gogh to Degas to Renoir to Andy Warhol. There is even a small icon collection of Orthodox Christian pointers from Russia and Greece. If you like art then visit this museum.

I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the artwork in the museum. We spent almost two hours admiring the many types of paintings. I was even surprised that they were in possession of a beautiful Monet landscape. The Western/American art collection is particularly large, but there are all kinds of art pieces and it's definitely worth visiting if you love art even a tiny bit.OU students get in free, but admission is not bad.

We enjoyed visiting this museum. They have lovely works of art. (See 4 photos). It is located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma so parking can be an issue. When we went, admission was free!

A very quiet museum with alert security guards but the staff was friendly. We checked out a book at the front desk and matched some of the artwork to the activity sheet. The museum is quiet and not crowded-hard to be inconspicuous with 4 kids.

I am not really an art fan but my family and I went as it was a free air conditioned thing to do. I was astounded by the huge selection of art pieces and I did get excited seeing an original Van Gough. The modern art floor was my favorite.

We went specifically to see the impressionist art. They also have some Native American art and contemporary. We were most entranced by a glass "bowl" - with blue X, changing depending on the angle.
