By sheer happenstance, I was offered a ride with Captain Drake in his beautiful Ercoupe. Wolf, the owner and operator of the whole business is both a great pilot and instructor, as well as being patient, friendly, and extremely generous while I fumbled with the controls. The best place I've seen to learn how to fly, and I'll be returning as soon as possible.

Captain Drake's Family Aerial Adventures is a unique and awesome experience. Wolf is an outstanding certified flight instructor flying one of the safest aircrafts ever built, the awesome Ercoupe. My girlfriend and I spent the night at the lodge on our way to Washington and I was so impressed and comfortable with Wolf that I returned a month later and got my sport pilot license in his Ercoupe. The whole experience was incredible. What Wolf offers with his school and lodge is a fast, efficient, cost effective way to become a sport pilot. Wolf has definitely found his calling as he is a phenomenal teacher. If you want to become a sport pilot or if you just want to see beautiful Illinois Valley by air look no further than Captain Drake's!

What an excellent place to spend the nigh away from home. You actually feel like you are at home inmediately. We are recomending Captain Drake's Family airel adventures to all of our friends. You will not be despointed. Take a short trip and check out yourself. :) We will certainly go back .

What a great way to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the valley. Every view from the lodge is a site to be seen not to mention the media room along with the great swimming pool. Then a bonus to do a fly over or take a lesson and see even more. Wolf is a great host, and teacher. His lodge is a great escape, be it a vacation, birthday or just to get a romantic retreat. Defiantly a A+ and must stay when your traveling in the area.

Beautiful views, fabulous hospitality, and fantastic value for such an amazing day in Southern Oregon.

The valley is beautiful, especially when viewed by air. The lodge is cozy and a great place for a family visit. Wolf is knowledgeable about the area and was able to help us find a great activities for us and the kids, including the Oregon Caves, swimming spots, and more. I definitely recommend the Illinois Valley as a place to visit and Captain Drakes as the place to stay and play.

I am considering a purchase of this type aircraft and wanted to fly one first. Wolf did a nice job of taking time to explain some systems and handling characteristics to me. I am more experienced with larger and faster airplanes and this is another world! It was a lot of fun. He is obviously a very competent flight instructor and loves to fly as most of us do. It was very fun to fly something this size and weight, as flying was meant to be. The area is quite nice to see from the air as well. I'm sure anyone looking to get a Sport or LSA rating could not go wrong here. My review is for the flight instruction only, I did not stay in his lodge facilities.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience. I can't say enough good things about the captain and his lodge. My children flew with him and are hooked. I had no idea it could be so affordable to gives children this experience. He is so calm and kind. This is something we will never forget and will be back for more. Thank you so much!!!

Wolf (Jason) Emonds is the best instructor/guide/host one can find in the area. First, he is professional. Second -- he absolutely loves what he does, and deeply appreciates interest and inspiration of others. Third, he knows Northwest. With this package you cannot loose. If you are looking for one-time flight experience; or if you consider long two-week adventure with different activities (including flights) in the Pacific Northwest do not go any further -- get him as an instructor and as a guide and you will be taken care of, and will discover opportunities not very many people can provide you with. I traveled and communicated with him on numerous occasions and never was disappointed. He always will make an extra step to make your experience interesting, safe, enjoyable and meaningful.
