Gorgeous view of Mt. Hood, the Sandy River way below, and everything in between. Someday, I will paint the scene, sitting right there in front of it.

Go North on Bluff Road, not South as these instructions say. The view is amazing! You can see Mt. Hood, the Sandy River and Cedar Creek. Great photo opportunity!

It took a few visits (not difficult because it is on a main thoroughfare) to find a clear view as it was often obscured by mist and low cloud. On a clear say a magnificent view of the River and MountaIns from a developed safe parking viewpoint. Good amenity.

A must stop for a beautiful view and picture taking opportunity even on a day when you cannot see the Mountain.

I can't see Mt. Hood from my house. Yet I find it interesting that this viewpoint is only about a mile from my home here in Sandy. The Jonsrud view is stunning! When you see the mountain it looks like you could reach out and touch it. I personally think this is one of the best views of Hood anywhere. This viewpoint is right off Bluff Road. Just turn left at Walgreens in Sandy when you are on Eastbound 26. Be aware that the turnout is not very big, maybe just enough room for a few cars. You must come see this view!

This little pull out spot is worth the effort for the breath taking view of the Sandy River several hundred feet below. The guard rail is there for a reason, keep a hand on the little ones and Rover on the leash. The drop off is tempting but not really suitable for climbing. It's a long way down through brush and blackberries. But the view is exceptional. Helps you get an idea of what the pioneers faced while looking for the trail to the Pacific Ocean. As with any natural area, please leave it cleaner than when you got there.

Just a stop along the road with a few parking places. Wonderful view of Mt. Hood and the valley below. In the Fall you can see the mix of all the colors together. Originally found this on a calendar and decided to go check it out.
