If you would like to see something that's very different, spend some time here at the Bear Hotel Museum. All kinds of different bear statues are painted and decorated in whimsical ways. Some are funny and some are thought provoking. You will enjoy this very different exhibit.

Each year bears are designed and constructed for placement around town based on seasonal activities from riding motorcycles to climbing trees and gathering honey. Well worth the visit, especially around Christmas time.

This will blow your mind... it's so creative and unusual. Loved walking all around taking in the various creatures and sets they've created. Loads of fun. Really a blast with other people!

Fun to go at Christmas and see Christmas on Mars with the grandkids!! This is where all the bears are made for downtown Grants Pass and a whole lot more art that gets put out different seasons. What's more, if you have an Evergreen Bank account, you can use their party room for free!! I have used it for both of my daughter's baby showers. Lots of room for lots of people and nice when you have too many people and not enough room in your house!! Book ahead, tho, cuz weekends get filled up fast!! When you do have your party in the party room, you get to explore the Bear Hotel also!! Wonderful facility!!

We had friends visiting from Colorado, and took them to the Bear Hotel in Grants Pass. What fun! The Bear Hotel is a beautiful, new warehouse, featuring lots of various, beautifully painted bears. There was a "Christmas On Mars" theme, with a rocket Santa sleigh, Mrs. Claus' kitchen, Nutcrackers, Christmas Village, a Bigfoot statue and his cave, and the "Wild Bunch" motorcycle group of bears. Also on display are a series of painted doors that reflect different areas of Oregon, and a dining room filled with beautifully painted shields along the walls. Very interesting tour. Our guide, Jeremy, did an outstanding job of giving us the history of the bear museum, funded by Evergreen Bank. At the end of our tour, Jeremy gave each of us a small teddy bear as a souveneir of our visit. Very nicely done, and I would highly recommend for school children, and "young at heart" adults. A bonus is that the tour is absolutely free.

there was lots of picture ops, but the whole attraction was just ok. Maybe just because my son was too little to really appreciate a lot of it

The Bear Hotel is actually a warehouse, museum, and venue for special events. Painted lifesize bears on real motorcycles, Nutcracker Suite soldiers, Chritsmas cards that tell a story, and scenes painted on doors are just a few of the unusual things you see here. You won't find another place like this anywhere. Well worth a visit.

Granats Pass displays bears that have been decorated by local artists in the summer. The Bear Hotel is their home the rest of the year along with other art work that has been displayed through the years. Fun place.

They store the bears, Christmas cards and murals, eagles, etc. here. What a treat to visit them all in one place, up close and personal.We have attended many events at the Bear Hotel and it is always a delight.
