Had a great time, it is a little bit hokey, but it is for the kids. we enjoyed the ride around the farm and Matt and Amie put in an appearance. Fun Time!
This was our first experience with a pumpkin patch and it was a great one! Loved the farm and that there is an area for kids to play! Only this is I would have like to see more animals! Even though we went on a rainy day, it is still a lot of fun!!
While Roloff Farms is only open during pumpkin season, they definitely do things right during their "short" season! From the wagon tour to adventureland to the overall ambiance, we were greatly impressed. And the the best thing was meeting and talking to Amy and Matt!!When we had finished the tour and explored the grounds, up comes Amy. She talked to people, had pictures taken, and was a fantastic hostess. Matt then came and did the same thing. No big lines, and no extra cost for these interactions. It was as if they just wanted to make sure the visitors had a good time.A very memorable experience!
This was the reason we traveled to Oregon! We met both Amy and Matt, without paying the outrageous tour fee. The tour of the farm is worth the money and so is adding the additional attraction area.
Visited the farm with friends. What a fun way to spend a couple hours. For $12 each, we got the narrated tram tour and had access to the play area. It was cool to see the layout of the farm after seeing it on TV all these years. The tram stops at the Western town to let everyone off and see it up close. We took a lot of pictures. What a great piece of property. Amy was around all day working and getting pictures with the guests. We also saw Matt who waved from his golf cart They are only open on certain days leading up to Halloween. I would recommend stopping by. They have set up a nice tour and they keep adding more stuff to see.
I booked a private tour ahead of time and it was incredible! To meet Amy, Matt and be toured by Zach and Tory was an absolute Must experience. They are a very kind, Zach talked about fun stories growing up on the farm and some really cool history of how the farm came about. We were very impressed with the down to earth attitudes of the family. I asked if they get tired of people stopping them for pictures and the answer was " we only have our farm open 12 days a year so its nice to see people out here enjoying it". Great area for younger kids! Its well worth the time to get there and its well marked from the freeway to find your way to the farm!!
We drove from Vancouver, BC to the Roloff Farm in Portland. What an awesome visit we had. Amy and Matt Roloff were there the whole time mingling with the visitors. Both are very friendly and stop to take pictures. The farm tour is only 10$ ($12 if you want to include the adventure/playland) which is not just for kids. Parking is free and very organized. Employees are friendly and helpful. Their new puppy was there for everyone to see. The merchandise they sell is totally reasonable. The pumpkin selection was outstanding, small, big, white, orange, green. Whatever you needed. The amount of work they put into the farm is unbelievable. I saw a hardworking family who put so much effort into their dream and open it up to the public to enjoy. This is definitely something to see and cross off your bucket list.
Took a quick trip to Portland and to Roloff Farms; what a great time; Amy and Matt are very accessable for photos and chat; the farm is amazing. Kids will have a fantastic time; There is a private tour availabe for a price (I did it) fantastic experience. I'm so glad I went
My wife and I were in Portland area for our anniversary. We have enjoyed the TLC show Little People Big World so we visited on opening day. Because of torrential rain it was pretty quiet. We were given a tour by Amy Roloff who gave a great and candid tour of the farm. She was very nice and took time to chat with us after the tour. The property is beautiful even in the rain. The tour included all areas of the farm. There was a huge variety of pumpkins for purchase. There was a big kids play area where there was a giant straw pyramid and some wild cats brought in from a local animal refuge. This area has an extra cost associated with it.I would highly recommend a visit to Roloff farms to anyone.
Had a great day touring the farm. What a great place they have created there in a beautiful part of the country. Lots for young ones to play and explore. Goodies to buy to enjoy there or to take home. Very friendly from the Roloffs themselves and everyone else working there. A great way to celebrate Fall.
Roloff Farms in October offers a variety of activities. Our group was greeted by and had a chance to talk with Matt Roloff, family patriarch and star of TV's "Little People Big World". He did a great job of making us feel welcome. The tram trip around the farm let us see some beautiful fields and displays such as an old west town and a castle. It was narrated by a guide who was informative and interesting. Of course, there is something for the kids in the form of a spectacular activity and play area (extra admission required). One field was devoted to hundreds of pumpkins ready for Hallowe'en sale and was doing a landoffice business. Of course, there were snack venues and a gift shop. As in all gift shops things were a tad overpriced, but it made for great browsing. All in all, this is a pleasant place to spend a few hours in a fresh and rural setting.
