floras lake windsurfing & kiteboarding

I recently took my 7 year old grandson to the Windsurfing and Kiteboarding School at Floras Lake. Andy and Reed were absolutely wonderful with him, taking the time to instruct, answer questions, encourage and praise. They had all the equipment he needed, including a wetsuit, board and sail. In no time at all, they had him up sailing across the lake. They watched him carefully, and when he tipped over they were immediately next to him with their jet ski. They could have returned him to the shore at this time, which I believe would have been the end of his desire to windsurf. Instead they gave him a fun ride on the jet ski, took him to just the right spot on the lake so he could easily surf back to shore where we (his family as well as Andy and Reed) cheered him soundly. He was ready to go again! They made him the Man of the Day. He still talks about his experience, proudly shows pictures of his experience, and looks forward to returning next year to do it again! Oh yes....after his day on the lake, he was invited to go into the sauna to warm up. The whole experience couldn't have been better. Show less
