We rented one of the cabins at the park. It was clean and cozy. There was a small refrigerator, a heater, small table and 4 chairs inside the one-room cabin, as well as two double beds and a short single top bunk. The surprising thing to us was a propane stove top as well as a small oven on the porch. Outside the cabin was a picnic table, fire-pit and water spigot.The facilities were very well kept and clean. It would be a great get away or place to stay if you had plans in the area. The park itself doesn't have much to offer in the way of entertainment.

Yes....the noise from 84 isn't the most relaxing sound, but I couldn't give it a bad review. The cabin was great. Most spacious than a lot of the other state parks. THERE IS A STOVE/OVEN COMBO ON THE PATIO!!! Loved that! Large cabin site. Short trail to bathrooms/showers. Had trouble at first contacting ranger to change reservation to day before, but it all worked out when we got there. Very helpful and nice ranger. Trails around park. Nice wooded setting with critters everywhere. Just a lovely park aside from the highway. The highway was bad enough to prevent me from staying here again!

This campground is off I-84 near Meacham, OR. The campsites are nice and the restrooms and showers are very clean. The drawback is the noise from the freeway. We thought it would lessen at night but it continued all night long. There are no water activities nearby. Campground personnel are very friendly and helpful. Nice, short trails to explore.

We only stayed here one night and got in fairly late (booo), but it's a nice piney area with lots of shade. Full hookups. The camp host was very nice. Nice cabins - great place for a family reunion.The only downside is it's right on the highway, but honestly, we didn't notice too much. It didn't keep us awake and it didn't stop us from considering staying again.

While we didn't stay we went for our first visit to the wedding of our niece were pleasantly surprised by how lovely and well equipt it was! Nice lodge with flush toilets..lots of grass and while campgrounds were crowded it still seemed very private! Will certainly be adding it to our list of places we must spend a bit of time at!

We stayed with our family there over a weekend. It is a nicely laid out campground. Facilities are good (showers & bathrooms). There is a lot of road noise from the highway. It was very noticeable when we first arrived; however, we soon got used to it and honestly didn't notice it too much. There are nice hiking trails around and there was a good Ranger's program. Other than that, there is not a lot to do at the campground.

We made our way out to the Blue Mountains as part of an owling trip at Spring Creek National Forest. Our first two trips we roughed it in the Ntl Forest, but this year decided to try the pet friendly cabin (Cabin 1) at the state park. After hauling across hot and dry eastern oregon with a toddler, a newborn and the family dog, we found the park to be an oasis of cool temps and nice amenities, such as hot showers, well kept grounds (very well kept) and nice family groups (no drunk people!). I particularly liked that our cabin had a gas stove and oven, and that the entire place was spic and span. Lovely! Had to walk to the toilets, but you really can't complain when there's hot water (in the family restroom) and showers. Add the historical value of the Oregon Trail (and nearby attractions in Pendelton and La Grande), Emigrant Springs is a nice family destination. Some reviews mentioned freeway noise and you are indeed right by the freeway. In our cabin, however, with our baby's sound machine set to "Forest Rain", any noise was barely noticeable. One downer if you are camping - you won't get any privacy here. Camp sites are close to each other, and when we rolled in on Saturday PM the forest floor ws covered with tents. By Sunday PM however, about 90% of the sites had cleared out, so visit on slow days if you can to get the most out of it. But again, its a very well maintaind, family oriented (no drunks, super friendly state park rangers on site, and two camp hosts to make sure the rowdy is in check) oasis from the road. Aside from the great gray owls, we enjoyed the Oregon Trail interpretive center as well. This was located a few miles south of the state park, and was yet another peaceful and well kept gem in the middle of "nowhere". There were some easy trails, shaded picnic area, clean bathrooms and a camp host should you need help.

We stayed one night at this campground traveling through Oregon. Absolutely beautiful, but way too close to the road and too noisy. Full hookups available, sites were nice, level and room for our dog fencing. Restrooms were clean. We would not stay again due to the proximity to I84, but the campground itself was very nice.

My family stopped here for supper and a night of tent camping in site A23. The campground was tidy. The sites were not particularly private, but I've seen worse. The restrooms had running water and were very clean. I noticed showers but didn't check 'em out. Unfortunately the proximity to the interstate means you hear plenty of road noise. I had to raise my voice on occasion to be heard over the sound of the 18 wheelers. If I need to stop in this area again, I'll look for another option.

This rather limited campground is just wonderful. The campsites are private and large with full hookups, the restrooms very clean, and the hiking abundant. The only drawback is its proximity to I84, although there are more than enough trees to muffle most of the road noise. There aren't nearby attractions for children, but the joys of nature should suffice. It's worth the trip for a short stay all by itself.
