Great wine, nice tasting room, friendly and knowledgeable server, beautiful view, but no bathroom for customers today.
Kind of a long drive up to the winery but worth it! The lady serving us was wonderful, outgoing, informed, and a pleasure to meet. The tasting room was large and comfortable, we were even able to go into the vineyard and pick a few grapes! Great experience!
I just want to say up front that I am related to the family that owns this Winery so I may be a bit biased. However, the other reviewers have hit the nail right on the head. The view of the Willamette Valley is incredible. The trip along the dirt road winds through a Christmas tree farm and the trees are ready to be cut this year or next. There are Blackberries and Marionberries all along the road too. Deer wander through the land at sunset that makes for a perfect pucture. Tina in the tasting room is the best. She gets the job done while educating you about the wine and the history of the Valley. This is a must visit if you just want to relax and take in the view with a great glass of wine.
We randomly chose to start a day of wine tasting at J Wrigley and almost never left! It's a few miles of the main road going into Sheridan, and the last 1.5 miles are on a dirt road. You drive up through never ending rows of Christmas trees until you finally end up at the winery. The views from up there are truly spectacular, but the most important thing at a winery is of course the wine. And J Wrigley doesn't disappoint. Their 2011 Pinot Noir was the best wine we tasted all week long, so we bought 6 bottles. The 2012 was great as well, and their Pinot Gris is perfect for those warm days with seafood. Tina was a great tasting room hostess! She even let our black lab run around the property which made the dog (and us) quite happy! We'll stop here every time we're in the area!
Have to be honest and say the primary reason we went here was to get a glass with our dog "Wrigley"'s name on it. After a beautiful drive through the evergreen farms, we arrived at the top for a great tasting in a lovely setting. Would be a great spot for a wedding, with a moderately sized room inside and patio out, overlooking the vineyard and tree-filled hillsides. Hospitality was great! As a Chardonnay drinker, I didn't expect to like the pinot rose, but loved it and bought several bottles. The pinots are fabulous - preferred the Mac option. Would definitely recommend this spot!
Better view than Napa . Incredible. Went to a catered dinner by local raw food chef . A all around amazing night !
The tasting room for this winery might be a little harder to get to than some of the others in the area, but it is well worth the extra effort. The tasting room sits on top of a high hill surrounded by grape vines and Christmas trees; it feels like the top of the world. The view is extraordinary – probably the finest tasting room view in the valley. The tasting room itself is spacious and rustic, with a large harvest table and several smaller seating areas scattered about, and a patio (for the view). The wines are great; we tried a Pinot Gris that I could drink all day long, 3 expressive Pinot Noirs that ran the gamut from soft and elegant to dark and structured, and a new Rose. All 5 wines were awesome.Search this place out. You’ll be glad you made the trip!
