They may be America's or the world's most favorite dysfunctional family and you can visit this little fun gem while visiting the Springfield/Eugene area. A must see for any true Simpsons' fan.Also be sure to walk around downtown and visit the shops and galleries. This area is going through a lot of improvements and makes for a cute day out.

While touring the murals in the downtown area (many of which are VERY WELL done) we discovered this amusing little gem. This is the first (and only) Simpson mural which the creator of The Simpsons collaborated on. There is quite a bit of evidence that Springfield, OR IS the REAL Springfield. The mural is fun and well done. There's a plague with the story of the mural on it beside the mural. While here, step inside the building the mural is on and explore the Emerald Art Center - another free attraction. You may also enjoy the Springfield Museum - free museum down the street...and walking through the area catching the variety of murals on the wall. Our family with members ranging from 9 - 73 enjoyed this outing.
