Absolutely love Sarver! Great wines, beautiful view, amazing people. They truly go above and beyond to provide you with an unforgettable experience. Rain or shine, I'm looking forward to going back.
The wine was really good and the view was great. We had a bit of a wait to get served and they had run out of some of the food that we had hoped to order. Overall it was a good experiece and we plan to go back.
Their tasting room seemed to be quite lively and there is a great view to be had. We weren't huge fans of their wine but it was very nice. We would go back.
Sat outside and enjoyed this beautiful hilltop winery. Wines good. Very good appetizers to munch on with the wine.
Sarver Winery is the best winery in Lane County, without question. It's not just about the incredible wine, or the indescribable views, it's about the staff, the cozy atmosphere, and the tranquil setting. If ever you need to get away, there is no place like Sarver Winery to make your day better, rain or shine.
We took a picnic lunch up to the winery with our daughter and boyfriend. They, as we were, very impressed with the view and the quality of wine. The staff was very friendly and informative about their wines. The view was very nice looking over the valley leading up to the vineyard.
Super wine- nice friendly atmosphere, beautiful view, good brick over pizza, and the best place to meet up with friends!
...or maybe it's excellent wine and good views. Either way, this little hidden away place is a find worth the trip. The staff is family; most everyone who works here is related and they are all very welcoming. The wine is good; some of it is excellent, depending on what you like. They offer estate-grown Pinot Gris (barrel-aged) and Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, plus more. In addition, they offer (you can buy, that is) plates of salamis, patés, and freshly baked baguettes for a reasonable price. You may bring your own picnic and buy their wine to accompany it. Their tasting room is small but comfortable, and can accommodate around 40 people. Outside is a fire pit and a lovely view of the valley. This place feels like a local watering hole, as many of the same folks show up regularly, mingle among themselves and party. It feels like the antithesis of posh King Estate Winery. Yet, we like King Estate too; it's nice to have a choice.
We enjoyed our first visit after the Eugene marathon and are getting ready to walk out the door in a few minutes to go again. This time we are taking our marathon running daughter to enjoy with us. The wines are superb, the view.............you just have to go and you'll see. The staff would make it outstanding if the wine was marginal and the view was sublime. Fortunately for all of us, Excellent wine, a view you have to see for yourselves, and outstanding, caring, helpful staff make you feel like you are home away from home. Everyone has their own tastes and expectations but we need to resupply and get something to drink with our Turkey on Thursday.
I wanted to thank you for your critique and apologize. Our goal is to always provide a warm, welcoming, thoughtful, and educational experience for our customers. I am truly sorry that you were let down, but certainly appreciate the feedback. Your comments are duly noted and I will personally see to this matter.
We were en route to the Eugene Airport from the Coast when we noticed signs advertising this small winery. Am I ever glad we made a side trip to check it out!It is a SMALL wintery, but the vines are circa 1980, and when the property changed hands 3 years ago they added a tasting room. We were there at the beginning of their day -- they open at noon, so we were the only parties there. The bartender, who hasn't been there long, was well informed and talkative. They charge $5.00 for a tasting session and I did not attempt to sample all the wines offered. Their offerings are heavier on the whites and roses than in the reds, but we three found the reds superior. The property is absolutely gorgeous. It's worth the side trip just to see the property. We bought our share of wine and it's likely we'll return during our stay here in OR. Go, for the wine and for the scenery.
Yet another winery we found while driving across the region. Their facility isn't as big or fancy as some others, but that doesn't matter when the wine is good. Even though our bartender was busy, he still made time to chat and tell us about the wines we were trying and made us feel welcome.
We had a lovely time here, but I would recommend the Eugene-area wineries take a tip from others in the northwest (Dundee, Walla Walla, Pasco, eyc) and waive th tasting fee with purchase.
Off a back road this sweet winery sits on top of a hill. The lovely attendant poured wines past closing as we had arrived late. Compared to neighboring King Estates this wine is exceptional at half the price. Visit but keep it a wonderful secret.
It was an adventure driving up to this winery with its steep gravel roads, but once you got to the top it was well worth it with a breathtaking view and decent wine. Unfortunately there was only one girl working and the place was packed.
