A great escape we can spend hours hiking around or just bring a lunch and relax spring summer and fall are all great times to visit.

The Mount Pisgah area includes over 4,000 acres of natural beauty at the confluence of the middle and coast forks of the Willamette River. There are hiking trails up and around mountain. This is a very hikeable mountain, at about 1,500 feet, but it affords a nice view of the area. Two organizations do great work there: the Friends of Buford Park and Mount Pisgah, and the Mount Pisgah Arboretum. The latter maintains about 400 acres in a fairly intense manner, and the former is responsible for a majority of the area, restoring habitat and natural areas, and maintaining trails. Fantastic area.

Honestly, how DOES one give a bad review to a natural attraction like a mountain. Haven't figured that out yet so good thing Mt.Pisgah and the arboretum are a wonderful place to hike and learn about the Eugene area. Today was a beautiful December day, didn't even have to wear a jacket because it was warm and sunny.Get a chance to go there and you won't be disappointed. $4.00 parking fee that is well worthwhile.

A medium to mildly stenuous hike up to the top but the 360 degree views are stunning. Path is well marked, but also has a great deal of poison oak along the way. Be on the watch if you are allergic. A wonderful way to spend a 2-3 hours and really "see the scenery" of Oregon from the top.

A medium to exhaustive system of trails take you quickly up an 800 foot elevation rise to excellent panoramic views overlooking Eugene. The trails are good in all kinds of weather. You can go basically straight up or wind your way around the mountain. It is about a 1 hour trip if you are in reasonable shape. There is a small parking fee. Also as with any semi secluded place, don't leave valuables out in your vehicle. There are also some handicap trails that wind through gardens and arboretum.

Beautiful, lovely trees, lovely pavilion for wedding reception. Great for hiking. 9 miles outside town.

For a lovely trip and hike Mt. Pisgah provides a beautiful venue. Oak savannas, fir forest and open grassy hills beckon the visitor. The trails are well cared for and there are signs at each end of each trail. It is well worth your time to spend a couple of hours at this county park. Go to the summit and see a wonderful vista of the surrounding area.

The hike is fairly steep and there is poison oak everywhere but avoidable if you stay on the trail. The views are great and the location is near. The trail is wide and well maintained.

I was here for the mushroom festival most recently. I have also enjoyed hiking and strolling the variety of trails. The only drawback is limited toilet facilities.

Like Bald Hill in Corvallis, Pisgah is theEugene version although higher and better. Nice oaks with evergreens, im guessing lots of wildflowers in spring...the arboretum is better than Peavy in Corvallis too from what I could tell...a must hike in Eugene and if you live in Corvallis, it is worth the drive

We happily hiked this little peak to get some exercise before we sat on the plane to come home. Parking was $4, which is fine for me. The trail (old road) is actually a little steeper than I expected, but definitely a good workout. Seems like a nice trail system also. We just went to the summit and back down, but enjoyed the fall colors changing and the friendly folks also outside enjoying the trail. Don't forget to pick up your dog's poop! We didn't find a bathroom at the west TH, but maybe we just didn't see it.

I was staying in Eugene for work and looking for a nice hike and Mt Pisgah worked very well. Only a short 15 min drive to the mt Pisgah Arboretum. There are a series of well marked trails. Trail 1 climbs to the summit. A steep 1000ft climb in 1.5 miles so it provides a nice workout. The trail is gravel, well marked and maintained the entire way. Trail 4 returns to the parking lot so you can make it a loop. Beautiful views to Diamond Peak and the Sisters as well as views of the town. Most of the trail is in the open so wear sunscreen. Parking is abundant and it is a $4 fee area BUT the machine takes credit cards!

This is a great piece of Eugene, awesome hikes for people of all skill levels. It's a little hot in the middle of the day, the main train has a significant portion that has no shade so bring plenty of water and sunblock. The view from the top is totally worth it!

This is such a Zen-like place to get out of your car and walk through the woods. We followed a path to a really cool bridge and everyone loved the peaceful environment. There's an Arboretum which we didn't check out and a wedding party was assembled there. I highly recommend going for a hike in the woods here.

Great exercise. Many trails. It is very close to Eugene and good to visit all year long. Spring time flowers are best on south-east side. Good sunset view. Parking $4
