I decided to take a drive from Bend, Oregon to Roseburg, Oregon for the day. A co-worker told me to stop in and hike to Toketee Falls. I was absolutely amazed and speechless at how stunningly beautiful the hike and falls were. The moss covered rocks, green trees, emerald green water. I promise you that you DO NOT WANT to drive by this place and not stop. It was worth every bit of my drive. The hike was very magical and movie like. I just knew any minute little "ferries' were going to pop out of the trees. :) All joking aside....do not miss this beauty.

Toketee falls are certainly my own personal favourite waterfall in Oregon. Whilst Multnomah is tall, it is crowded with people. Tokette is off the beaten track, but is only a 10 minute walk along a beautiful woodland path. The path is good quality, my partner managed this walk 36 hours after having broken his arm, so it isn't too strenuous or long. At the end there is a viewing platform that looks over the falls which is really impressive. There is no actual access to the falls themselves, but close views are guaranteed at the end of the trail.I would HIGHLY recommend this site; it is quiet, beautiful and peaceful.

one of the more famed waterfalls in the umpqua area. nice hike, lovely sight. a lot of wood paths and steps rather than trail. definitely a must see for waterfall lovers. hike ends at a large lookout platform up above falls and facing it directly. no access to actual waterfall.

While you are in the neighborhood of Crater Lake, seek out Toketee Falls for a refreshing afternoon walking the trail alongside the falls. It is a lush, moist environment for this part of the world, and a beautiful immersion in nature. There is so much pristine life here! That is a rare treat in this built-over world.

We had originally planned to check out Mt. Thielsen but weren't prepared for a 10 mile hike, so we drove down the road and went to Toketee Falls, then Diamond Lake on the return. Signs are not real clear but once you find it, it's beautiful. A small parking lot off the main road walled by an old wooden aquaduct that was sprouting some pretty good leaks and 'waterfalls' of it's own.It was Nov., a beautiful and warm day and most tourists are gone now. We met a handful of people returning from the falls remarking that the trail was very easy, still requiring care and observation in some spots only a half mile one way. So many things to see! The fall colors were still hanging on, plenty of mushrooms vying for air and a bit of sunlight, fresh air, and a bird or two secretly following us. Great observation platform at the end, wide steps and a fantastic view.

Was a very nice drive a little hard to find the road to the hot springs once u are at the lake. The trail is rough in spots but once ur there its amazing.

On the way to Crater Lake take a quick stop and walk into Toketee Falls. The walk is easy to moderate for there are several stairs. The view is worth the walk as the water flows over the columnar basalt. It's best to see the falls at lower water levels.

Trail is relatively easy with some uphill steps. Take it slow if you're not in shape. The creek and falls were well worth the climb.

This waterfall is picture postcard beautiful. The parks service has spent a lot of time and money building a trail that puts you in a sort of eagle's nest with a perfectly framed view of the falls.Tripadvisor says the falls are in Crater Lake NP, but they aren't. They are close to the northern park entrance, 28 miles west on Oregon route 138. Most people driving from the west will probably pass the falls on the way to Crater Lake. There are several other waterfalls along highway 138 but our group thought this one was the prettiest. When you get into the parking lot, you'll first see a large wooden pipe running next to the entrance. There is a dam upstream and this pipe is carrying water to a hydro station downstream. The pipe has a few minor leaks and on the hot day we visited, the kids enjoyed walking through the spray.I recommend putting on some insect repellent at this time if you're visiting in bug season. Warn the kids to watch out for poison oak as you set off - we saw some along the trail but it was easily avoided. There are pit toilets at the start of the trail, but the toilets are the only accessible part of the hike. After a short stroll the path begins going both up and down stairs. The trail is probably only 1/4 mile, but feels longer because of all the stairs. The river drops away on your left into a gorge. Resist temptation to stray off the path here as a drop into the swift, narrow river could be deadly. As you near the end of the trail, you walk the last 100 yards on a boardwalk that ends in an eagle's nest platform with a view of the falls. The view is wonderful but the falls are on the other side of the gorge and completely out of reach. I wished for the path to continue down to the river so I could feel the spray or get closer. You retrace your steps back to the car. This is an in and out trail. There are more steps up on the way back but there are plenty of places to stop and rest.

This is but one of 8 or 9 waterfalls on the Upper Umpqua that I visited on a day trip. It was worth the hike. Met some wonderful folks on the trails and the falls were magnificent. Take a camera. 8-)

Beautiful falls!!! Well worth the short hike and 200 stairs. The stairs stop and start so you have resting points if needed. Great view from a platform and cooling hike through the forest.

My husband and I just took a trip out to Toketee Falls for the first time. It was a easy/short hike to get into see the falls. The trail is well taken care of, however, there are a lot of stairs. I would definitely recommend anyone to check out this beautiful sight.

This is a beautiful falls quite a few stairs so not really handicapped accessible well worth the hike you cannot get up close to the falls because you're on the other side of the river so beautiful sight

This waterfall is about 20 miles west of Diamond Lake, Oregon on Hwy 138; well marked road sign where to turn. Go a couple hundred yards off Hwy 138 to the trail head parking area. The parking lot is small, paved, and has handicapped parking. However, the trail to the waterfall is NOT user friendly to wheelchairs or baby strollers. The hike to the waterfall is 5 or 600 yards that is uneven ground with exposed tree roots, but offers safe handrails, places to sit and beautiful scenery. It is well worth the hike when you get to the end! My best advise is to take a good camera and a bottle of water with you.

We stopped at Toketee on our way to Crater Lake at the end of June. It is an easy 1/2 mile walk from the well marked parking area which is right off the main highway. The falls were nice but the water volume was not very impressive. It would probably be better earlier in the year with more snow runoff. I guess I would say, take the time to see it if you are going by, but don't go out of your way just to see it.
