Well ventilated so smoke was not a problem. Restaurant clean with great specials. Good price and ample portions.

Silverado use to be one of our favorite places to gamble and eat but in the last couple of years it has been going down hill. Food has become so so,service is a hit and miss mostly. Drinks servicer used to be very friendly and personable now you are lucky if they even look at you. Not recommended

Friday nights are busy!! We arrived at 6;45 Pm and there was a discussion going on at the Hostess stand with three people! Finally, one grabbed menus and seated us. A busboy bought water. After 10 min I went to ask the Hostess since I was having salad bar could I get the food and the server could write it up when he did come to our table? A young man heard me and said "I was just going over there" Two of us were having salad bar and the other person in our party ordered an entree We ate two bowls of soup and a salad and the server never came back!! We were suppose to get garlic bread with the salad bar Finally I asked the busboy if he could ask our server to come over He, the server, said " they burned all the garlic bread that's why you didn't get any" OK!! that happens but a trip to our table saying there has been a problem I will bring the bread as soon as possible is better then just leave us waiting!! Then the other person with us said "I have not gotten my food" The server said " two people didn't show up tonight there is a mess in the kitchen!!!" Then five more minutes at least and I went and asked to talk to a mgr!!! I have been in my own business and I have been a mgr and I have worked in the food industry and I have dealt with Customers!!! I KNOW! BUT I always try to be polite and present JUST the problem and this very young mgr and nice girl was STRESSED!!! She just repeated what the waiter said BUT that is not the customer's problem She said she would give us a "discount" and then went to the register to authorize it However she should have just "comped" the meal that didn't arrive until we were ready to leave!!! The public understands FREE!!!! Of course we will go back, there are only two other salad bars in this town and Jake's Restaurant in the Silverado is the best one available.They handle things well enough about 60%of the time I have visited, but I have seen "bickering" among the staff while waiting to pay and they CAN'T all explain the players discount cards in the same way!!! Sometimes it only counts for the person paying, sometimes the other people who also have cards but are not paying seperately can put their card on the bill too and with a pile of cards from each person each receives their discount!!t On the one bill!!! and sometimes the answer is" I have to call a mgr!!!!" I QUIT even showing the stupid card and pay full price to just get out the door!!! The food overall is good the kids who work there seem to try to please the customer and that young lady was certainly trying to do her "Mgr" job but maybe there should be a course in how to handle emergencies or I guess I can just ACCEPT I like the place so take it or leave it It is not Reno or Sacramento or San Francisco and it is affordable prices in Small Town USA!!!!!!!
