North side of Nevada SR 375 just a short distance after it splits off from SR 318 near Hiko. Steel agri-dome structure with big, goofy alien outside (should have tipped me off as to the level of "research" that takes place here). No website that I can find, but the Facebook page indicates it's a liquor store (although they sell a lot more than liquor).Thankfully, there was no admission fee. If you're a level-headed, serious aerial phenomena researcher, don't even waste the elbow grease turning your steering wheel to pull in here. All this place holds is a collection of mass-produced sci-fi and UFO pop-culture trinkets - T-shirts, posters, toys, books, videos, maybe a few autographed posters and photos from "ID4" (Independence Day), "X-Files," "Paul" and other movies and TV shows. It is very much the cliche' tourist trap aimed at passionate UFO/Area 51 admirers and curiosity seekers (like me). The guy who runs it wasn't even there the day I visited. Instead, his disinterested, less-than-enthused niece was hosting the checkout, and she barely lifted her eyes to acknowledge my presence - even though I was the sole visitor. She did admit that it was not truly a research center but rather merely a store. Just bought a couple of refrigerator magnets to say I'd been there.I do highly recommend that you visit nearby ET Fresh Jerky (see related review) - if not to satiate your curiosity about UFOs and Area 51, certainly to cure any hunger pangs. Good variety of jerky, nuts, snacks, dried fruits and veggies, and prices are not bad.
