We have a goal to visit as many wineries as we can (both at home in Ohio and on any trip).PVW fit in perfectly in our trip from Vegas to Death Valley NP.It is a very nice winery. You can sample up to 10 wines for no tasting fee. They have wines from all 3 of the Nevada wineries and we tried some from all of them. Their signature wine is 'Symphony' which is a white wine on the sweeter side. I loved it so much I got two bottles.......Very easy to find thanks to all the signs. Wish we lived closer.........
It,s a one hour drive from Vegas and absolutely worth it. The wine tasting was like a classroom and trust me, they have something you will like. The dining was amazing. Lew waited on us and you will not go wrong with him choosing your entree for you. Incredible Lobster Bisque and Brie for Two will start you down the unforgettable Dining experience.
This is the second winery we stopped out in Pahrump, Sanders Family Winery is the other. They let you taste 7 wines for free, and have a large selection to choose from. My wife and I had lunch first at the Symphony;s Restaurant which was fantastic, that will be a separate review. We chose to taste 11 different wines and then repeated our 3 favorites for a total of 14, 7 free each. The wines were very good and we took 2 bottles of our favorites with us. A great experience and a fun was to spend the afternoon.
On a long road trip, I stopped here to break up the drive. A fortuitous choice. The tasting room is tasteful and neither too large, nor too small. All the servers were smiling, pleasant and helpful. They have 21 wines and you can taste 7 for free. I sampled a variety and they were uniformly superior. All were smooth: not a sharpness, bite or unpleasant aftertaste in the lot. The prices were reasonable and I surprised myself by purchasing half a dozen for myself and as gifts. I particularly enjoyed the Desert Rose and their signature Symphony. There is a restaurant on the premises. I didn't eat there. However, it smelled wonderful and other wine tasters volunteered that it was excellent. Well worth a visit.
You need to go to this vineyard to see the facility and taste the wines! Terrific atmosphere, 2 page wine list, and a 5 star restaurant attached! I go there in my RZR from TM TORN Off-road Adventures on a 2 track trail once a month.
After finding another Pahrump area winery closed, we drove over to this one, late morning, to check it out. They have quite a menu of wines available for tasting and your first 7 are free. The gals pouring the wine have excellent knowledge of their product and really enjoy what they are doing. They are professional, friendly and very helpful. We found several wines that we liked and ended up walking out with more than I had expected...but what the heck, you only live once, right? During our visit, I saw a group on a tour of the vineyard itself. In addition, they have a great restaurant as well, should you be looking for a nice meal. Check it out, I highly recommend the wine!
We celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed the great service and food. Great job Lou and M at the bar. Thank you!
My two childhood best friends and I came out to Pahrump while staying in Vegas. One of my friends lives in Vegas and since I work at a winery in Virginia, thought it may be fun to visit this winery. To her knowledge it is one of the only wineries near Vegas, so we hopped in the car and drove an hour to the vineyard. Now, to preface this, my friend did check the winery's website to double check if there would be any issue winetasting since if was Valentine's Day and the winery also has a restaurant. She didn't see anything on the website indicating we would not be able to get a tasting that day. However, after the hour trip, we entered to find the ladies behind the bar serving a few women. They asked if we were there for a tasting, we replied yes. They then proceeded to ask if we were going to eat dinner. It was 4:45, and since there dinner hour didn't start until 5:30, we said no. Once one of the ladies heard that, she immediately said we could not be served because they were only offering tasting to those who were dining with them. Keep in mind, there were maybe four other patrons in the room. We explained we had just driven from Vegas and we had checked the website to find none of that information on there. One lady seemed willing to do a tasting, but an older and more crotchety lady just kept saying, "Sorry, we can't serve you." This is bad business! There was still 45 until dinner began, the pertinent information was not posted in the appropriate forums, and there was so compromise; they essentially turned us away.
We loved this place, the drive is only about an hour from Vegas and the scenery was beautiful. As soon as we got to the winery my wife was in love with not only the setting but the ladies behind the wine bar. We tried as many of the wines as they would let us which I think was around 9 different tastes. We ended up buying a case of wine and having it shipped back to our home so we could enjoy the wines at home. Do not hesitate to take this trip from the strip and get your drink on.
A little gem worth the effort. Did the wine tasting and didn't have a bad sip. Interesting sherry with a hint of walnut....
A wonderful boutique winery about an hour Northwest of Vegas. The town itself is small and uninteresting. Other than the winery, there is no reason to go there. The winery itself is small but very well organized and modern. The tour was short but very informative. the guide was knowledgeable and very accommodating to everyone. There is a great selection of wines and a pretty nice gift shop. The restaurant, Symphony has great food and it is surprisingly elegant inside. The service is excellent and the atmosphere relaxing. Nice!
We visited and had a warm welcome the minute we walked in the door!! We toured had some samples and Diane was our sampler waitress and she was amazing and super friendly I would to compliment her for her hospitality!!!!
A wonderful wine tasting in the afternoon lead us to come back the next day for dinner, we had a great view from the glass enclosed porch, the waiter was fantastic, knowledgeable of the menu and the wines as well as the history of the Vineyard...Beautiful indoors and out, Try the house salad dressing made with Symphony, absolutely fantastic....
I'm a sucker for wineries! Great location in the desert. I bought 3 Bootles and had them shipped. Symphony is my choice.
On the way from Las Vegas to Death Valley, we came across this winery and decided to check it out. We enjoyed the tour and especially loved all the wines. We bought the chardonnay, barberra and one called Symphony, the same name of their restaurant. The women working there educated us about the wines and the area and they were super knowledgeable. The restaurant looks lovely and upscale and we only wish we had been there around mealtime. Take a break from your travels and stop here. We were able to taste 7 different wines at no cost.
