This museum is filled with minerals found in Lincoln County and artifacts from the mining days of old.

While having breakfast at The Silver Café and Bakery, our waitress suggested we stop in the Lincoln County Historical Museum just a few steps up the block. The museum is open 10AM - 5PM and well-worth your time. It contains a wondrous array of artifacts and pictures detailing the region's history and culture. Many locally donated pieces line the walls and display cases throughout the museum and the staff has labeled a good percentage to date.We were warmly greeted by a woman who gave us a bit of history about the museum and herself. She requested we sign the guest book as officials check the register to ensure a sufficient number of visitors come to the museum. Admission is free. Donations graciously accepted.

This museum is in a store front on Main St in the small town of Pioche, NV. It doesn't look like much from the outside. Once inside it is full from floor to ceiling of historical items. We are planning a trip back to Pioche just to look around again. It is the type of place where you will see new things you missed on your previous visit. Admission is a donation.

This place is definitely worth your time. It's in a small building but it's filled to the celling with antiques and artifacts from the past 100+ years. You can spend a couple of hours looking at the displays there. They just ask for a donation to look around. If your in the Pioche area you should plan a visit to this wonderful historic museum.
