Great course. Will definitely visit again. Loved the views of Reno from the mountain. Unfortunately, it was a bit backed up from a tournament so my threesome became a fivesome because the group in back of us kept having to hang out and wait.
WIldcreek is my kind of golf course. It was open with more than enough elevation changes. They also had the right amount of water hazards too. Some really neat designed holes especially the 18th hole. The views were outstanding and the prize was very, very decent. It may not be in the same shape as LakeRidge but for the price it is an excellent play.
Good value and challenging course. Some in our party rented very good Taylor Made clubs. Great food.
Nice venue for a quick round. Some challenges but best for duffers and that quick round before lunch.
During a recent trip to Reno for some R&R, I decided to play Wildcreek for the first time. Primary factor in my decision was that Wildcreek offered a decent $35 rate >12 noon. The course itself is not in tip-top shape. I met the course superintendent (Rich) out on the course, who explained that due to the recent dry winter, they have had to do a lot of remedial/repair work. Found the greens themselves to be in good shape, but there were lots of bare spots in the fairways. Certain sections of the cart paths were beat-up as well.I found the course to be pretty hard - fairways are tight, and there is lots of water. If you are a duffer like me, bring lots of balls!Pros:Very friendly people, nice views on the back 9 (you can see downtown Reno and all of the casinos), nice practice facility, low rate >12 noon. Lots of wildlife/animals/critters on the course.Cons:Fairways and cart paths need some work/repair. Older facilities, some areas could use some touching up.
The course is in ok shape. The staff is friendly and the practice facilities are in good shape. The course itself is challenging and it requires straight shots for the most part.
Fun course for families with young kids and novice golfers. A fun way to spend a few hours. Lots of birds, squirrels & rabbits to see while playing. Staff is friendly and helpful. The course is right in the landing pattern for the airport, so get ready for some close ups of Southwest airplanes! Fun for the kids to see the planes too.
This is a fun course for all handicappers. The price is right and a great staff.
Wildcreek is an awesome course with an awesome staff! Eric and Matt run the weekend mornings like clockwork. The food and drink with CeeCee are always hot fresh and great value! The course is in better condition than the more pricey clubs around town. Lessons with Dennis are always low key and really halped to improve my game. I love Wildcreek!
This is a substantial golf course at a low price. We were surprised by the complexity of some of the holes -- we really had to plan shots, not just hack away.I think this is a very nice, quite affordable course with a friendly staff.I only wish they kept the carts charged. One died on us and the other barely made it through the hills on the back nine. But these two competitive, mediocre golfers enjoyed the challenge. Hard enough to make us work, but not so hard we felt totally defeated.
Wide open ranges and lots of hills. Wild Creek golf course hosts the Special Olympics golf team every year! Dennis Oliver and the staff go all out to make the event a memorable one for all involved. I really dont know how many courses there are, but I do know there is more than one. I think its one of the lower cost courses in our area also.
