I had a chance to attend a conference World Peace Summit at the Carson City Convention Center and was pretty amazed at the ease of parking, entry and courteous staff. The property is well designed and aesthetic as well. The conference hall is wel-equipped and spacious.Probably they could do with upgrading the toilet facilities a bit.Very satisfying!
The staff was very friendly and informative. They had just finished moving from the old location and had not finished setting up. Beyond that - a good source for information about things to do in the area.
We have stopped by the Carson City Convention & Visitors Bureau. It is close to the Nevada Railroad Museum. Their staff is very nice here and provides helpful information. They also have an excellent web site. I often times refer to it when I plan to visit the area. The web site has a very helpful list of current events going on in the Carson Valley area.
Carson city has grown even with in the past year. Hidden gem - fun interesting history in this very modern day city. The mint museum was great. The drive of the pony express - the casinos - shopping
The information available and provided by the Carson City Convention Center and Visitors Bureau was very helpful with making our trip enjoyable. We were able to choose from many interesting places to visit as well as find the locations easily.
Went in to purchase a calendar. Seemed odd that I had to stand and read directions on how to use a phone to talk to someone. I could hear quite a few folks on the other side of the partition!
Most useful if you are looking for a place to sleep. Short on maps and other local info.
Candace was so nice, we went in to see what else there was to do in town and Candace had showed us a variety of things to do, though she did mention the V & T Railroad a lot.
This visitor bureau is across from (the railroad museum which seems to be closed most days) and while small has a very friendly staff that seem to know allot about Carson City and Nevada in general. They have a selection of little known books about local historical citizens, postcards, cute Christmas ornaments of Carson City. They have the latest maps of Nevada.
