This is definitely a must-play course. While it is extremely challenging (especially for a so-so golfer such as myself), the design and utilzation of the topography is masterful and the 'vistas' are excepitonal.

Top 2 public course in Nebraska, between Wildhorse and Quarry Oaks. As other posters suggested, if you aren't a good golfer, you will probably have a tough day as good tee shots are vital and quite challenging. Play a scramble or best drive format if your above a 15 or so handicap. I've tried to play this course at least once a year for the past 5 seasons or so. One thing I've learned about this place, it's normally best to play before July if possible as the course gets in rough shape once the heat starts and rain quits. For whatever reason, it seems to tolerate the heat worse than many courses around. Two out of the past 3 years, it's been in rough condition when I've played. This year, it will probably stay in good shape longer as we've had plenty of rain in Nebraska for the most part.

I've golfed this course a few times and it is a beautiful and well maintained course. My only concern is that it is definitely not built for the average golfer. Unless you are consistently golfing and a good golfer, you should not attempt this one. I run around a 12 handicap and this is a course that I really can't have alot of fun with. I normally end up losing at least a half dozen ball, though I normally find 50. Fairways are generally a little tight with no room for error. If you miss a fairway, good luck finding your ball, even if you missed by a few feet. Regardless of my game, the course is probably the best in the state, but beware, it is also the most challenging.

It was OK. I enjoyed the scenery but I never did play a lot of golf, so I did not expect to have a great game. I did OK, but there are other interests I have.

Playing this course feels like you're in Wisconsin or Michigan, except the trees are Burr Oaks. Heavily wooded, and hilly. Gorgeous views of the Platte River Valley. Lots of wildlife and perfectly maintained fairways and greens.

A group of us recently chose to return to Quarry Oaks for a group golf outing. We returned because it is an excellent course and it is located in a 'pastoral setting'. The golf shop and clubhouse crew are friendly, accomdating and competent. The rates are extremely reasonable. The course is a challenge (especially for the high handicapper that I am), but the setting and the view make it worth while. If you go, be prepared to enjoy and the wild life you encounter --

This is an excellent golf course. It was in great condition. Bar had good sandwiches and other snacks. Bartender was quick and friendly. The course was not very busy. There are a couple blind shots that added to the challenge. We saw deer on two holes and a large group of wild turkeys on one hole. It was a great day of golf and I would suggest it if you are in the area.

We ran the annual Beer and Bagel race there last year. I know it is a golf course and I am not a golfer, but I am a runner and we did run the course. It is quite hilly and VERY scenic.

Great golf course...as scenic as it gets. Challenging but fair. A must when visiting Nebraska

A challenging golf course with well manicured greens etc. In a wooded setting with some really fantastic views. Makes you feel like you're in a Pennsylvania forest.

The course is very nice, but there are quite a few blind tee shots, and they charge you for a yardage book. No pictures on the scorecard, or on the tee box signs. I just don't get how you can expect people to pay a substantial (and probably warranted) greens fee, then hook them for an extra $10 to know where to hit the stupid ball. It's a beautiful place, but difficult to know where to hit it unless you're pretty familiar with the course.

Challanging, with lots of trees, great views and you see a lot of wildlife including turkeys, deer and birds. very friendly staff.

Quarry Oaks has received numerous awards and is deserving of them all. The design and layout is imaginative and allows the golfer to use all of their clubs. It is a difficult course but very fair for all levels of play. Condition of the course was lush, greens were fast and true. This is a course to put on your "to play list"! Enjoy

Architect did a great job with this layout. Unfortunately the management caters to large outings and as a result the greens are littered with ball marks, traps are poorly maintained and the staff is more interested in getting your greens fee than providing quality service. Green fees are greatly over priced for the condition of the course and quality of service. Beautiful setting but poor value for your golf dollar.

This course is situated on the hills next to the Platte River. In the fall it is breathtaking with the huge colorful trees lining the fairway. We have seen wild turkeys and deers crossing our path as we went to the next tee box. We can't wait to go back!
