This course was a bit of a challenge which was fun. Lots of greens you can't see from the tee. Teeing up over native a lot. Some high ground to hit up to and roll down. Not a lot of trees so if it is windy it could be even more challenging. We played in what was meant to be 3 mph wind but it felt more like 10 up on the top during the back 9. There has been a lot of rain over the last month and the sand traps are close to non existent due to the run off and quite a bit of ground had come away from the sides. Very hard packed sand. Pro shop were very friendly. Would definitely play this again. Grill was not operating so had snacks from the pro shop. Vending machines were also available.
Played front nine of this amazing course. Located over looking beautiful Lake McConahey, this well maintained course is hilly, and loaded with sagebrush and sand traps and narrow fairways to challenge any weekend golfer. Big shout out to the great staff, especially Alec, who as a part-time cart jockey is a wonderfully friendly representative for both this golf course and the Brule area. A unique unforgettable golf experience.
I like this place a lot, but, not sure if it's quite 5 stars. The views and elevation changes are worth a lot, but, I've played the course twice and unfortunately it's never been in great shape when I've played. To me, Wild Horse is a better all-around course and worthy of 5 star rating. This is definitely a fun and scenic course, but, the greens can be hit and miss from my experience. I'd recommend it to anyone, but, again Wild Horse or Prairie Club would be better choices for pure golf in my opinion. This would be more of a scramble type course that's wide open and just pure fun to play.
This place is amazing. Great value. Beautiful, maintained well and awesome price. They don't pair you with people they allow you to enjoy a great round. The pace was a touch slow but over all amazing.
Bayside Golf Course in Brule is a hidden gem in the golf world. One of the best courses I have ever had the luxury of playing. I live in scottsdale, AZ and have a lot of nice courses to play in the area and this course in western NE is second to none. You will use every club in your bag, true test of golf. Thanks for such a great experience....and dont forget to go eat at Mashie Niblick after your round and say hi to Larry.
Bayside Golf Course and the club house is so beautiful. It edges up right next to a very large lake. Lake McConaughy, Nebraska. The golf course itself is amazing, and a challenge - I wouldn't miss the chance to go there, on a vacation, and golf and enjoy agood meal.Call first in the winter - as they get snow.
