Thank you for your feedback. We always try to provide the best experience possible for our guests with reasonable and fair prices. Our $30 price is for a bushel bag/box which equates to 40lbs. of apples, making it $0.75 per pound for fresh, locally grown fruit, which we find to be reasonable. We have since addressed our staff to account for your customer service experience as we are always trying to improve in everything we do. We apologize for not responding in a timely manner but want to thank you for your review from this past fall. While we try to provide the best experience possible for all of our guests, we also ask that guests follow rules and be respectful of our property.One of your review comments left us troubled:"We asked where the apple pears were and we were told they were not ripe yet. We walked over to the apple pear section and picked a few anyway."We are assuming you are referring to Asian pears as we have no such thing as an ‘apple pear.’ If we say that items are not ready for picking, we generally do not appreciate someone going and “picking a few anyway.” Our land and trees are our biggest asset as a business and while we do open our farm up for guests to pick, we ask that they are respectful of what we tell them is available for picking and pick only those items. Our employees work hard to ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience when visiting, but we have rules and when our employees see those rules being broken, they respond. Again, thank you for your remarks and we will continue to work on improvements to our U-Pick operations so instances such as this do not happen again.- Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard
