This is a small family owned facility with good wines. Because they use only their own grapes, anddon't buy additional stock from other states, their stock is limited. So if you taste one you like...don't wait to buy it.

This is a lovely family vineyard set in the hills of southeast Nebraska. The owner himself poured our tasting and told us a great deal of information about the flavors and wine making process. It is very obvious he loves what he does. The tasting room was on the smallish side but very nice. We opted to taste all of the wines and we found them all to be unique and very flavorful. We bought our favorites and sat on the patio overlooking the vineyard to enjoy a glass of wine and eat some cheese and crackers we brought along. They do not serve food here. It was an excellent experience!

My husband and I like to frequent local wineries and sample their products. The staff at WindCrest Winery were very knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. We bought several bottles and will go back again. Great job!

We visited six wineries this weekend in the Lincoln area and this is the only winery we did not buy any wine. The owner thinks he is the only person that knows wine. He loves telling people to do the tasting "his way". His way is you do the tasting in the order he wants and you have to try every wine he has. When we said we didn't want to try the sweet wines, he told us we had to try them. He was very rude and we left and will never go back. The owner and his wines are not worth the two miles of dirt road to get to it. We will be going back to the "other" winery in town which is a great winery with great wines. And they know how to treat there customers right.

Stopped in for a wine tasting. What a delight. Dale took time to give an education on the wine making process. Very pleasant. Will be Back.

We've also been to other wineries in the area and everyone else's seem so sweet and bland. We liked WindCrest because it was unique and the wines there had more character. The owner seemed very knowledgeable and gave a great presentation during the tasting. Try the wines "his way" if you go.

The wine here is terrific. We visited this winery after visiting another close by winery and noticing the Windcrest signage. No dog and pony show here, this place is all about the wine. The owner conducts tasting personally, and perfectly describes each wine with impeccable detail. I left there with a case (I didn't buy any at the other place), and I know I will be back soon for more. Try the Crest Red, it won third in a large international competition. Once you taste it, you'll buy it...and you'll wonder how on earth it didn't win first!
