By the way ... it is now Century Link. Great venue. I have seen some great bands there. Simon and Garfunkel. Rod Stewart. Paul McCartney. It made Omaha grow up!
We were in Omaha for three days for a VB held tournament held the CenturyLink Center (no longer Qwest) great venue. A couple small issues, but easily handled. No enough trash cans or electrical outlets (all this technology these days) The only eating place was upstairs and quite a long walk. I'm sure this is different for larger events.
Not much to say about a concert hall other than some excellent shows have been performed here and the audio is very niceA great place to see a concert
The Qwest Center has great acoustics but leaves much to be desired for seating. You have to crawl over people to get to you seat and sit there with your knees to your chest because of no leg room. Parking is for pay about $8.00.
I have attended concert, business meetings, sporting events and dinners at the Qwest (now Centurylink) Center. I was against this facility being built. Boy was I wrong. They do an amazing job at that facility. It's very clean, and they are very hospitable.
Only been to programs on main level so far. The Clydesdale horse show was interesting. Love attending health and home shows. Only objection is that the health show breaks up the display aisles instead of having all in a row.
I am so glad Omaha decided to let Terrence Crawford box in his hometown!!! We are hoping this will put boxing on the Omaha agenda....even Warren Buffett and the Godfather gang were there!!!
Lots of complaints when it was proposed and being built (cost). But I have been to several shows/events and it truley elevates Omaha to a supurb level!!
We saw the Story of the Eagles tour here on Sept 5th. What a great venue for a concert, not a bad seat in the house. Concessions plentiful and lots of restrooms. All in all a great venue.
The Qwest Center in Omaha has great views from any seat in the house and is a good addition. Its location downtown is within easy walking distance of several eateries and even has access to Ollie the Trolley to take folks to and from the Old Market area. The single drawback is the lack of adequate legroom for anyone over 6'4". It was either designed by short and shortsighted architects or by accountants interested in maximum seating capacity. I can only attend events if I get an aisle seat and sit sideways.
We were here for a concert. The venue was intimate, the acoustics were good and staff was adequate. Food and beverages were readily available. We walked to the event from our hotel.
The Qwest Center is very large and good for concerts or games. Though it can be crowed it does seem like the traffic flow is good and doesn't take long to get out after an event. Parking is decent and also seems to move fairly smooth.
Shure was stupid building a Ballpark next door to a event arena . Visitors should check to see if two events are in venue the same day . Otherwise parking fees are raised for the event all around the area. ( $8.00 to $15.00)Sound system in the Quest Center isn't the best for concerts.
We saw OneRepublic/The Script/American Authors there. It is a fantastic arena. Of course, the concessions are insanely expensive. ($30 for 2 sodas, 2 slices of pizza, and 2 candy) Great location with lots to see and do in the area.
This is an excellent arena and convention center every seat is a great one and it a wonderful venue for trade shows and events
