Thank You for the review of our museum. We are very proud of the knowledge of our Docents and employees. We love to tell the story and history of Auto Racing starting with the Model T Ford and Harry Miller. Our pedal car and toy collection is second to none and we are glad that you enjoyed seeing it. Come back next year or sooner, we are always adding artifacts to our displays.
Rich, Thank you for your review. We always like it when someone enjoys our tour and has a good experience with a Docent. 2015 is going to an exciting year for us as we move toward being for guest friendly with our schedule. We will be making our intentions known through the different Social Media's. Thanks Again for visiting us from Colorado. We will that let that employee know about your satisfaction.
Thank you for reviewing our museum. We always like it when we get people into the museum that know cars. Come back soon
You are correct, we do have limited hours over the winter. We are using this time to improve the museum. In 2015 we will be opening a new area with new displays. In the mean time we do open up on Fridays for guided tours starting promptly at 2:00 PM. It is always a good idea to be here around 1:45 when the doors open. FRIDAY ONLY.
We are glad you enjoyed our vast collection of engines, we take great pride in what we consider one of the best such displays in the world
Sounds like another trip to our museum is due. We would love to have you back so you can explore longer. There are plans for us to be open more hours in 2015. Keep up with us on facebook
We are always happy to get reviews from folks like you that aren't gear heads, it shows us that we are meeting our goal of educating our guests. Please come back again
Thank you for the kind remarks. We do have very good Docents that love to tell the stories connected to the exhibits. Come back soon
Thanks for the visit and the review. Speedy Bill Smith and his wife Joyce spent over 60 years putting together the items that you seen on display. They left behind a fantastic legacy that is truly world class. Thanks again and please come back soon.
Thanks for the review. We are glad that you enjoyed the information that we present on Henry Ford and his story. Our mission is to inform and educate. Sounds like we succeeded during your visit
Not knowing what to expect, I was greatly surprised at how much there was to see. I plan to go back sometime next year and spend a little more time focusing on some of the displays that really peaked my interest. The tour guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the exhibits and the couple that spent several decades acquiring them.
This was my second visit to the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, NE and it was even better than the first. Many more exhibits and engine displays. Everything updated and new granite floors. Even if you have been before, you need to return to see all the new exhibits/displays. John MacKichan, Museum Head of Operations, gave us a tour to remember forever. Put this one on your bucket list. Allow 3-5 hours to view. If you love auto history and American racing, this is the best in the world.
A fantastic place to visit in Lincoln, Nebraska whether you are staying in Lincoln or just traveling through. Beautiful old cars, hot rods and everything else you can vision about the history of automobiles and speed. Even for one who is not a car buff, this was fun to see and a lot of history to learn about. Kids will enjoy the toy autos and derby cars they have on view, most are originals and some even have the original boxes. There is so much to see and listen to that you probably could stay there for a full day. A museum you should not miss!!!
This was my first visit to the Museum of American Speed and it was everything I had heard about it and more. The massive exhibits contained engines and racing history that overwhelmed me. In my 76 years as a car nut I have never experienced the extent and quality of these exhibits. Every car nut needs to put this Museum on their bucket list!Joe Campbell
I was blown away by the museum. The collection is just fantastic, whether you have any interest in speed or racing or automotive history you will enjoy the tour. I can't wait to go back. Even our tour guide mentioned that he sees something new on every tour. Plan to stay as long as you can and check to make sure that it is open before you go. But Go!
