Lots of levels to explore, places to sit down, both sunny and shady. Very small, but enjoyable for the whole family.

Beautiful garden to stroll through next to the zoo. Lots of benches to sit, relax and enjoy the view. It was very peaceful when I was there even though it was in the middle of the day.

Just the place to view beautiful flowers,koi ponds, fountain and a waterfall, and it is free! I have been coming here for years, and each year they plant different flowers. What a great place for all ages to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, stroll through the gardens, or just sit and relax! It's just across the street from a beautiful rose garden and also the Children's Zoo. Obviously, there is not much to see here in the Winter due to the cold weather, but it is a great place to enjoy on a Summer day.

I was introduced to the Sunken Gardens of Lincoln, Nebraska by a long time friend shorty after returning to Nebraska after a lengthy absence. Though Lincoln is a mecca of trails, parks and historical locations and was a major player in the founding and development of the US, its railroads, pioneer passages, homesteading, etc., I was suddenly confronted with a vision of beautiful plants, statues, ponds, etc., which I hadn't know existed. We visit there periodically in person and through photo collections furnished me by a local photographer. Worth stopping by for a break from travels or whatever.

A nice place to stroll and enjoy a beautiful garden at the heart of the city. You barely notice the traffic going by. Nice place for pictures

Sunken Gardens is beautiful. Fresh flowers everywhere. You need to wait until July to go so the flowers are in full bloom.

Sunken Gardens are beautiful. Very peaceful. Great spot for family photos. Many weddings take place here, and even more wedding parties are photographed here. Location is great; across the street from rose gardens and Lincoln Children's Zoo.

Spring time is the best, seeing all the flowers ready to bloom, the smell in the summer is wonderful

This is just what it says it is....a garden. There are several types of beautiful flowers growing all around a few paths. The paths lead down to a central plaza area with some small brick ponds with fish in them. and a waterfall flows from the top area. While very pretty, this attraction will only take you about 15 minutes to walk through.

I have lived by the Sunken Gardens for years. It is a wonderful place to have a nice walk and look at all the plants. The only spoiler is the mexican fast food joint across the street that does detract from the smells of all the flowers

Flowers and waterfall were a beautiful sight to behold. Just chilled and took pictures. It was also close to the zoo.

If you are looking for a place to have some pictures taken for either Prom, Weddings, etc This is the place to take the pics if the flowers are blooming. Check it out and enjoy the beautiful flowers.

Boyfriend and I went there late one night to enjoy its beauty. It did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoy taking a step back and enjoying the smaller things in life :)

The gardens are so beautiful and well maintained. Relaxing place to visit and enjoy the beauty of the different arrangements...different every year. The fountains, lily and koi ponds, and plantings are so well thought out. An enjoyable small spot in Lincoln. Just wish we had more flowers in the downtown area as well. Enjoy the medians in the road as well...blends well with the rose garden and the Childrens Zoo. Again, wish this was carried out along more of the downtown area.
