peirano estate vineyards - tasing room

I really enjoyed the Moscato in this winery. Althought the other wines were also quite good. They have a relish mustard and jelly . A must try. The server was very friendly and helpful. This is a must go

Located north of Lodi and right off State Highway 99, Peirano Estate Vineyards produces some of the best Tempranillo you will find in Northern California. It’s worth a trip to this smaller winery, just to try out their latest 2008 Tempranillo and other competitive priced great varietal and blended wines. Peirano is one of the oldest Lodi families growing grapes since the 1849 gold rush. The1900’s farmhouse tasting room is surrounded in heritage. Notable wines include a really great Rose’ of Cabernet (that’s wonderful by itself and goes with just about any food), a gold metal Viognie, and the hearty reds they are famous for: Old Vine Zinfandels; Petite Sirah; etc., etc.One of the reasons for stopping at Peirano Estate Vineyards is some of the values you can only get at the Vineyard, especially in the blended reds. My partner keeps reminding me the discounted ‘Red Shorts’ is really smooth without any strong tannins, great by the fireplace or for conversation at pot-lucks and picnics (he knows how to get my attention!).
