My wife and I both visited Viaggio recently and did some wine tasting and had a great time. We found there Classic Champagne to be a perfect middle of the road champagne that is not too sweet and not too dry so we bought some to take home. Nick the tasting manager is awesome! and he keeps your glass from getting empty! they have great banquet facilities and quite a few dinner events that sell out. We wanted to go to the New Years Eve dinner but they sold out before we could get tickets.

This is probably the best winery hubby and I visited when visiting Lodi. The atmosphere is charming and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And the wines.... so terrific. The tastings cost $5 per flight and I believe there were 8-10 wines included. You can deduct the tasting fee if you buy a bottle. We took a bottle and sat down by the river and enjoyed a nice, quiet afternoon there. We enjoyed it so much that the next day we stopped by the cheese shop in Lodi (HIGHLY recommend -- called the Cheese Center on School Rd.), picked up some brie, salami and gouda and enjoyed another bottle sitting at one of the lovely tables in the gardens. Highly recommend this place.

We went there on a Sunday afternoon. There was a group of musicians playing, We enjoyed a bottle or nice wine while enjoying the grounds. They do cater to weddings but are limited by zoning to only 25 per year. As a result if you want food it is brought in from outside via delivery. The menu was limited and just OK.The grounds and wine tasting area were excellent and worth the trip. They also have a 'Mans Cave" for watching sports so you can catch up on your favorite teams while there.It is not a commercial as most wineries which makes it exceptionally pleasant. Tours are also available.

Attended a wedding with about 200 others. Located just outside Lodi the facilities are ideal to celebrate a wedding with a terrific open lawn over the meandering river, separate spaces for the birdie and groom to get themselves ready and the main house is outstanding, with a pool that was most appreciated during hot summer days. The staff were friendly. The food was good, but nothing memorable. Worth a visit.

The management has changed here--hours have been extended & there's live music on Friday evenings. Beautiful grounds, venues for events. Gorgeous wine bar. Very nice wines; reasonable prices. We loved it.

If you are new to the Lodi Appellation wine region, this is a good place to start out, to have a picnic or listen to jazz at the end of the day. Winery is only a few years old but owner has done wonders with the property. Very lovely setting along the Mokelumne river and has its own bowling green. Weddings and parties also held here. Back patio is very soothing, pathways lead to the green, veranda patio, tree swing and riverbank. The wines are also quite nice, the tasting room is large, with comfortable seating, and has a very private, elegant feel. Ask for the cheese tray to accompany your flight. Fabulous place to bring your out-o-town friends, or to enjoy a romantic moment with a great glass of wine.
