Albany, CA was the place to dance, drink, party in the 1940's. Several of the bars survive today. Ivy room is one. Was bought 10 years ago by a hipster, dusted off, contemporary music added and now mixes classic cocktails. Haven't been to the Wednesday night open mic, hears it's fun.
