black oak golf course

This is a true test of your golfing ability. A few of the holes are pretty straight forward, but many of them have dog-legs, overhanging oak branches, or ill placed water hazards to really challenge you. The course is tough, but beautiful.

The 9-hole golf course is just gorgeous! Nestled among pines, it gives one a sense of being in the mountains when it is only in the foothills. It's a much cooler place than the valley. There are many challenges with every hole! It is not an easy course, but it is not the most difficult one I've played either. Golf shop personnel are very friendly and accommodating. You can warm up with hitting a bucket of balls or practicing putting. There is a snack shop (with bathrooms) which you come back to after the 3rd hole. The 4th hole is the shortest, but it sits behind a big pond. Most holes are par 4 or 5.

Very challenging course and lots of fun. Everyone in Pro shop so friendly and helpful. Golf Pro Carol French is an excellent instructor. Deli is yummy and all personnel are so helpful.

Black Oak is a nice 9 hole course well situated in North Auburn but nothing special. Driving range is fair and facilities in general are limited. If you want to get out for a few hours and test your new swing it's not a bad choice though.
