ParaVi Vineyards has developed a strong and loyal following. Their wines regularly sell out and are not found on any store shelves. You either have to be lucky enough to get a pour at their winery during tasting hours or join their wine club to be sure to get your own bottles for each release. The wine club includes regularly scheduled events with live entertainment and very good food. Their most recent event featured a Las Vegas impersonator who sang the night away in the guise of many famous celebrities. Dinner included salad, beef wellington and asparagus, with a decadent chocolate dessert. Wine and port were included with dinner. The difference with the wines from ParaVi is that they are aged for over 3 years in French oak and then another 3 in the bottle. Tom makes his wines to be aged, something that seems rare among many California wine makers. Join in the fun and enjoy excellent wine in a relaxed atmosphere in the foothills. Stop in for a tasing or join the wine club and become a fan of this up and coming wine maker. The wines are excellent. If he were located in Napa and not El Dorado County he'd sell out even faster and for much higher prices.
