This rec area rocks. My husband and I have boated and fished there many times .. we even had our wedding reception there years ago! Family gatherings, single fisher-peoples, couples, dogs, great weather and happy days. The area is always clean (restrooms, too) and you feel safe there. The little store/cafe has what you may need during a couple of hours visit with friendly, helpful staff. Many different type boats to select from. Just a great, simple place for nature lovers without a lot of time "to get there", and otherwise! The park fee is around $5.00 per car? Well worth it.

This recreation area is clean, well maintained, and in a very attractive, secluded setting. Kayaks, outboard motor boats, rowboats, and pontoon boats are available to rent. This is a popular fishing, picnicking, and hiking area. The reservoir is stocked with trout and catfish. Also available is a combination cafe and store for those who want something to eat or need fishing or picnicking supplies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. Because this is a drinking water reservoir, no swimming or wading is allowed.
