No joking here. The beer selection is hella huge but the Burger I had "The Santana" was one of the best burger experiences I've ever had. We will be back!!! Its a bit crowded at times but worth the wait. Services is awesome.

Love this place! We went for the beers, but we stayed for the food. Haven't had a bad meal yet. We've had their pizzas as well as craft beer battered fish and chips, Kobe beef burger, the Santana burger, and the chicken breast/apple/pesto/harvati sandwich. You also can't go wrong with any of their side choices. We've had the shoestring fries, sweet potato fries, the onion rings, and the side salad with bleu cheese dressing (which is very light and tastes homemade). We've also sampled our way around the globe a few times with their craft brews, and we really appreciate how knowledgeable the wait staff is when answering our questions about the characteristics of each of the beers. I had heard that there is usually a wait to be seated because they are in a small building. But because the Ale House is almost at the end of town and there are so many other places in Encinitas that now also serve craft beer, we've never had to wait. Alas, the other establishments' loss is our gain.

First of all, how do you write a review about a burger. After all, there are many good burger establishments around. But, there are only a few great ones. And this is one of them. Like beer with your burger? Then, this combo is for you. Beers from around the world - and on tap no less. The burgers are large juicy and very, very tasty. Also, you can often choose from wild game burgers as well. Seriously, if you like a great burger with a great brew, you must try this place. Definitely tres casual. Enjoy. Also, take out friendly. Did I mentioned the fries? A perfect trifecta.
