Love when they open the nursery to dig begonias to take home in your pots. Lots of colors and they are perennials to enjoy in your garden.

I finally stopped in because my neighbor told me about their vegetables. Wow! I got the most amazing tomato and pepper plants! Huge and great prices.There's also a play area for small kids, and you can visit the pony's!

When I was little there were animals here as well ... the gardens are really nice to walk through and you can find good deals on plants and garden supplies if you look for them ... this is from another era of Encinitas ... when the Ecke Family Nurseries were a huge business and made Encinitas into the Poinsettia Capital of the world ... those times are long gone after the family sold off almost everything to housing developers.

Great selection of plants. Great location. I love to go and just wander about. During certain times of the year they are known for the ability to dig your own pansies and dig your own begonias. Yep, you get to pick them and put them from dirt into the box. Family run and everyone is just great. I start here for plants before going anywhere else.

Mrs. Weidner married into this industry and she and her loyal cast of gardeners make this place home.

We go to Weidner's every year for garden plants. their plants are much better than the big box stores. If you have questions, they are answered and helpful advice is given. Prices are fair. Couldn't be better.

This is a great nursery -- I would not say it is a destination point for visitors. If you are looking to buy plants and flowers this is one of many great places it Encinitas. While the nurseries are slowly disappearing it is nice that Weidner's Garden has stayed. With that being said, I have found that there are a lot nurseries that are still in the area that give more personalized service.

This nursery seems to specialize in flowers, lots of hanging containers ready to take home...some garden knick knacks. It is hard to find so check the directions before you get there as you can't return the way you come because of a freeway on ramp. Worth visiting to browse though seemed to be lacking landscape plants.

Best visited when Begonias are in bloom, and other tropical plants. That means August thru September. Area use to have a lot of other fun nurseries to visit, but sadly they have moved on to condo growth. Encinitas use to be the flower Capitol of the World. Now it is just another expensive beach community with little character.

Visited this nursery in Leucadia area, and enjoyed strolling through their beautiful displays of begonias and fuchsias. Wonderful hanging baskets, great herb and vegetable plant selection. The staff are available to help you select what will survive and thrive in your yard. The flower baskets we purchased, survived our 80 mile drive home and look beautiful on our patio. Check their website for coupons for an even better deal. We have loved visiting nurseries for over 40 years but they are getting scarce. This is so much better than the big warehouse stores. The variety of plants is amazing. Worth a visit if in the area.

Love going there - the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Plants are fantastic. Your breath is taken away by the blooms that are everywhere. No matter what season - this place is special and great to wonder around in.

title says it all. they have a few things in big bulk and this selection does change. if they happen to be stocking what you are specifically looking for you will be very happy but if you are seeking a good variety and are browsing for ideas, not worth it to me.

They grow many varities of beautiful poinsettias as well as other gorgeous plants here. During the other times of the year they have fuchsias , begonias and pansies you can dig your own. The staff are all so nice & helpful.

I've been going here for years.. The quality is incredible and the staff is amazing. Any plants I get here last forever. I just wish it were a bit closer to my house. Staff is so knowledgeable. Love coming here
