Beautiful venue. Wonderful sound and easy parking. Would definitely return. Have to also mention the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.

Really nice performing arts theater in north SD. I took my mom here for a gospel concert. The thearter is a good size but it also felt intimate and sounded great. My mom needs a little assistance getting around and it was very apparent where ramps are in the theater, but we kind of figured it out. I also had visited this theater 15 years ago for a work meeting event, I fondly remember. The outside was setup for happy hour and food int he gorgeous courtyard, so I can imagine that this theater would be good for other social events, weddings, etc...

Excellent, it was an amazing show. Parking was free and they also have a museum, which we visited next day. Very nice area.

I have seen several performances in this theatre. It is a terrific hall with good acoustics. Go there!

I have lived in Escondido a long time and am delighted by the new fresh format of the Arts Center. I attended the Jesse Cook Concert recently-a sellout and for good reason. He was great and the performance was enhanced by the 400 seat--Center Theater. It was like having Jesse over to the house. The last 3 songs were sung acapella with no mikes and just brought the house down. Congrats to the staff for their bringing great music to this award winning venue.

My husband and I drove to see Pink Martini from South OC. It was an easy drive (even a bit closer than LA venues). Free parking. The seats are comfortable, wide and have lots of leg room, acoustics were good. Home afterwards in 52 minutes.

We have attended a few performances at this venue. The Center is a great combination of large and smaller stages, art displays, and overall presence.

Seating was good all over. Elevatore handy for 2nd floor handicap seating. Enjoyed the show. Also saw another day the Flaminco Guitar player and dancers. They were ok, but I wouldn't see them again.

I have been going to this establishment since it opened. I even watch it be built . I have seen it grow, and fall, and stumble, and get up over the years. This place has so much potential, but no strong direction. It appears that there are too many hands in the soup here. There are two many people making decisions therefore this place appears to be in turmoil all of the time. Would I buy a ticket to see a show here . . . YES. without hesitation, and provided it is something I would like to see.

We went here for the annual charitable Holiday Candlelight Vigil. The associated charity auction, and hot chocolate etc., were nice touches. Jose Feliciano performed, and all of the artists were talented and generous with their time. Afterward all involved meet outside in the large courtyard for a candlelight vigil and sing "Silent Night." Beautiful experience. Glad I could be a part of it, and hope to join in again this season.

Once a month the entire family is invited to participate in a creative art activity that relates to a current show or event at the Center. The January theme was jazz. Upcoming dates and themes includeFebruary 8: Classical CelloMarch 8: Spring/SeussicalApril 12: PianoMay 10: String QuartetJune 14: SummerThe programs are free and no registration is required. Just show up. This is both the good and the bad news. The positive is that you can be very flexible and spontaneous. The negative is that with no pre-registration, the staff has to estimate supplies needed. This month we ran out of paper towels, glue gun glue sticks, and soap........and the paint was in short supply. But with sequins and Elmer's glue galore, everyone had a wonderful time!The programs are from 10:00 to 12:00, and with the "drop-in" format, you can stay for as much of that time as you want/need.

I went for a formal event. It was good. The center is very nice and I'm sure all events are well presented.

Love the acoustics, availability of parking, and proximity to Grand Ave and its restaurants. Not a bad seat the house. We enjoy the array of concerts presented there.

Playbill schedule have lots of variety. Great for rentals for special occasions. I have been to two, one outdoors, one in the smaller theatre for a dinner. Casual for one, fancy for other. EnjoyedSeveral major performances in the past.
