Nice little spot in Suisun Valley. No tasting fee (take that, Napa Valley!) and friendly helpful staff encourages you to try lots of tastes. (There was a BBQ truck next door that smelled good, but didn't eat there.)
Wide variety of tastes, generous pours, easy access of freeway. A small, unique valley off Highway 80. An 8 on the Yumm-O-meter. Keep going down the valley to find great fruit and veg stands. Prettiest time is April and May.
This is a great place to hit when out wine-tasting in the Solano County area, as they offer wines to sample and/or purchase from most of the local wineries throughout the area. The "wine steward" on duty was very well informed, extremely pleasant, and a perfect representative of some really top-notch wineries. We sampled many wines, several suggested by our steward after giving just a few brief hints on oukr favorite tastes in wine. We ended up buying a few bottles, and will certainly be back with friends in tow. Who'd have thought such a wonderfully world-class experience was available in good old Solano area?
We were staying nearby as a jump-off point to Napa, specifically for wine tasting and were pleased to find several options nearby. The Co-op offers wine from 5 different wineries and there is no tasting fee. There were 25 or so open to choose from the day we went and the tasting menu changes regularly. Doug was pouring and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We spent nearly an hour there tasting and talking about wine. We did purchase a few bottles here from Sunset/Twilight Ridge and a Winterhawk White. The prices were very reasonable (many were less than $20) and we will definitely return when we are in the area. We love the idea of being able to try many different wineries in one location.
They handle a number of Suisun Valley wines - good place to give them a try. Also good value compared to some others.
This wine cooperative brings together a number of the smaller wineries in the area. The wines are certainly drinkable but no one wine stands out as exceptional. Head down the road to Ledgewood or Vezer for better wines.
We love wine , and did not known Sui-sun city has winery, so close to hotel we stayed, we did not visit Napa City
If you want to sample great local wine, this is the place. Very knowledgeable staff. Amazing scenery to drive thrum.
