sunlit oaks winery

We visited the Sunlit Oaks Winery in Gilroy as part of the Wineries of Santa Clara County Passport weekend. This was our 2nd visit to this beautiful location.The winery is still a work in progress; their "tasting room" is a tent with picnic tables and chairs on a knoll. This winery is worth visiting for both the wine and the scenery. The view across the southern Santa Clara County and adjacent counties is breathtaking.We really enjoyed the 2010 Syrah, as well as the Sangiovese.The location is a bit challenging when rainy, but it's worth visiting. You have to picnic here for the view with the wine!I can't tell if there is a fee to taste here; we've only been here during the Passport weekend.Wheelchair access would depend upon the wheelchair; the path to the "tasting room" is decomposed granite or something of that nature.
