Front nine is good place to practice your short game, back nine is perfect to practice those drives for accurate targets! I always enjoy playing here....scenic views too! Overlooks LA skyline

Met my golf club for an afternoon round. Walk or ride, the elevation changes were very fun-- be mindful of where your golf ball filters down! Views of Los Angeles were beautiful, and interesting to see all the way to the ocean and to LAX. Course conditions were acceptable for a municipal!

This golf club is perched up top a hill off Chevy Chase. You have amazing views and beautifully maintained golfing. They also offer tennis, a golf store, snack bar, and a driving range. Good stuff!

I have played here many times, roughly once a week for many years. It is an executive, par 60, course with many interesting and challenging holes, although not long. It is a nice place for average to duffer players, but a good golfer would not find it too difficult. The course is well maintained for a public facility. The staff is friendly and there is a good senior discount card available. The cost is $30 per year, which allows seniors to play 18 holes with a cart for $19 (recently upped from$18). My main complaint is that the course allows large groups, 5 or 6, to play together, which can result in slow play if you are behind them.

This is one of the most fun places to play that I know of, outside small rural courses. Most weekend rounds in LA either cost north of $100 or take six hours (and occasionally both). We got through a round Saturday in just over three hours. The course is short, but not executive short; there are half a dozen holes where most people can hit driver... although on many of those, hitting driver is dangerous, especially on the back nine, which has cliffs, ravines, one or two blind pins (depends on where it's set on #17), and other interesting hazards. Because it's a relatively short course, it works for most players. Many greens have big slopes, which makes putting a challenge. The staff is friendly. Now, two caveats. First, it is a muni, an inexpensive muni, and thus it's heavily trafficked, with a certain amount of hardpan (and a certain amount of ducking as people yell Fore, since many of the holes have minimal separation). Second, the greens are marked by little digs because of the (!@*#&s who don't repair their ball marks. But for the price and the smaller investment of time and the fun holes (back nine especially) and the view, nothing beats it.

Golf course was run down with lots of brown grass on the fairways. Has gotten much worse in the last five years. Needs to put water and fertilizer on the course

The course provides some very challenging holes for your average golfer. The long ball won't eliminate all of the obstacles this hilly course has to offer. Twilight prices with a cart are fantastic. The course could use a little upkeep, but certainly a nice way to spend an afternoon.

I just love this affordable public golf course situated atop the Verdugo Mountains in Glendale, CA. What great views! Good practice facilities and teaching too. The pro shop staff is friendly and helpful as well -- a bonus. It's a par 60 that makes for a very interesting game, rich with scenery and golf challenges alike.
