portola redwoods state park

Portola State Park is a beautiful state park. It is in a rugged, natural basin and has redwoods, douglas firs, and live oaks. We have enjoyed several picnics here. We have also gone to weddings here; there is a wonderful group picnic area for the reception. It is so romantic to be married in a state park by the redwoods - beautiful setting.We have enjoyed hiking the trails here. There is over 18 miles of trails. There is also a nice campground. The campground is by the beautiful creeks in the stae park - The Pescadero and Peter's Creek.There is the usual small California state park fee to go to the park. It is a nice park to go to.
