Nice trip around the lake on a makeshift paddle wheeler. The captain had some interesting stories and we learned a lot about the lake and it's history. Beautiful scenery and a generally fun hour. Definitely the best way to see the lake and surrounding community!

Lake Arrowhead is a unique community located in the San Bernardino mountains at an elevation of 5100 feet above sea level. At that elevation it guarantees the year round resident a wide diversity of weather conditions despite the fact that one is living in southern California. The Arrowhead Queen is a sixty seat mock paddle wheeler that completes the tourist circuit on the lake in about 50 minutes or so. Our captain was an amiable fellow who knew the area well and presented an interesting historical account of Lake Arrowhead's development. Most of the houses along the shoreline appear to be spacious second homes for wealthy folks that live there for only a short time each year. A brisk summer breeze moderated the warm 75 degree temperature and made everyone feel comfortable. All in all, it turned out to be a delightful day at the lake.

Captain Nick knew a lot about the lake and history of events. Unfortunately, there is always the idiot heckler aboard, interrupting the tour, asking the most inane and nonsensical questions....our good Captain simply tuned him out. Buy your $16 tickets early, as this 50-minute cruise always sells-out fast. Get a window seat on the port side(entry) and you'll be able to capture some of the lake's magnificent homes of the rich and famous, on your cellphone.Please tip your Captain accordingly....

Liked our guide, he was funny and told good stories. Disliked the fact that our group was not the only one on the boat. Also felt a little like a Hollywood Stars tour...I liked the history of the Lake but couldn't care less who lived in what house.

well woth to money-- Boat tour was great the capt. let the children drive the boat which was a nice touch. Get your tickets early as they only can take 63 at a time- Our tour was filled to 63.. Beautiful homes and special celeb's houses pointed out along with watching water skii'rs and other boats made for a fun experience

Some friends took this ride and said we missed out. My wife and I had to watch from shore which was beautiful too.

We did this cruise on a whim while waiting to check into our cabin. We were pleasantly surprised as we set off on our cruise. Captain Craig was very knowledgeable about the lake and he had many interesting stories to share about the history, people, and incredible houses on the lake. The tour takes about 50 minutes and takes you around the entire lake. I would suggest that you sit toward the front of the boat if you go on the tour. It was tough to hear what was being said from our spot in the back. You can get your ticket at Leroy's (a nearby clothing store to the boat) and they do offer a military discount.

An cool way to spend an hour out on the lake. Lots of area and resident history is narrated by the captain as the boat takes a leisurely loop around the lake. If you have access to a boat, maybe you don't need to do this. But if you don't, this is kind of a no-brainer. Get on the lake; look at the houses; get some history. Makes your day feel like you've done something, and it's relaxing and interesting.

I like the boat driver who explained Lake Arrowhead history. It was fun to be on the boat. 50 min tour was not bad for the price. I wished that I'd be able to tour some of the nice houses. =)

This trip around the lake viewing the houses and hearing the history is thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. I would highly recommend to anyone who has not done it yet.

We took the boat ride around the lake. Our captain was very informative and pointed out the interesting sites. The boat is very nice, recently refurbished. The lake, which is larger than we imagined, was beautiful, and peaked our interest in buying property there.

Drove up to Lake Arrowhead Village with my family. Take the one hour tour! Good info. Get off and enjoy the beauful weather, walks and nick nacks. Great small shops. Awsome wine shop. There is a small park for kids. Mexican restaurant is not good food. Mc Donnalds is there. Get some ice cream. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

We had a wonderful time on the 50 minute boat ride. The lake is not too big, but boy is it beautiful. If you have a dog with you, don't worry, they are allowed. Lots of beautiful homes and the scenery is beautiful.

Visited the lake with my cousin and the family. Wonderful sightseeing, you can do your shopping there.. a nice place to spend the whole day with the family.
