Testy and healthy, little to big portions. Chefs executed good job with fresh ingredients and another culinary combinations.
Attempted to make reservations for Saturday night (Valentines Day) and were told that reservations were only taken for a party of six or more..... Who does this??? We were also told that this is their reservation policy period - not just for a special occasion. The food is excellent and we have eaten here several times - just as walk ins - we were told that if we wanted to chance it - we could just show up and see if we could be seated... This is not acceptable...We have never heard of this in any other restaurant. Wednesday night we made a reservation at a local restaurant in Hidden Valley Lake - they accepted them with no problem.
We rented the suite. Although it has a fantastic layout nothing can be enjoyed because of the dirty rooms. Pee on the bathroom floor from previous guest. They even left DIRTY towels from previous guest. Disgusting. One of the people in our crew is in the hospital within URI. Who knows what they will find when they type his infection. When we asked for service we were told we could comp a night. Who would ever want to stay there again when you can't even use the bathroom in hen, aster suite because there is someone's PISS on the floor they didn't clean up. Also asked for help from management and told they only have a hotel director and casino manager and controller. He said those 3 run the whole place and make all decisions. Isn't here a gaming board for Indian Casino's in California.? Graton Rancheria and CASHE Creek are MUCH MUCH better. This place is a dump.
Plain and simple, this place stinks. I don't mean the place isn't fun, although I'll admit I'm not much of a gambler. I mean the amount of cigarette smoke in the place is enough to choke a donkey. It's just awful. I think I might have stayed longer if I hadn't been gagging on the wafting cigarette smoke.I sat down at one of the slot machines and was promptly accosted by a old lady sucking on a cancer stick. The fumes and stench of her cigarette was so bad I had to cash out and move to another machine. I would have complained but it appeared that she was enjoying herself, so why spoil her day. I moved on.If you're a smoker and a gambler, this place will likely be right up your alley. If you're not, avoid walking in. It's just too gnarly to risk going inside.
Seventeen miles East of Calistoga is the very small Twin Pine Casino. The drive is dangerous. The food at the casino is mediocre. There isn't a great variety of slot machines. The best part of this casino was the ride home.
Last October my wife and I visited California and stayed nearby. On our way we saw Twin Pine Casino and decided to try our luck. This place was very clean. The employees were very polite and best of all we left $600.00 richer.
A variety of slots, many of the Penny Slots. Although there are not of EACH Classic Slot machine, there is at least one of EACH of many, many favorites as well as newer machines. The payout was sufficient to allow us to play for 4 hours on a modest investment $25 - especially given that it was Tuesday so we received $10 in free Senior Play, $5 in free First Time Visitor Play and my wife received $10 in Happy Birthday Play. Being mid-day and mid-week, the casino was not too crowded. The smoke not over powering. A self serve coffee bar is located on one end of the floor, a beverage bar on the other end. A snack machine and a snack bar are located on the floor. A restaurant is also within the casino. There is no Buffet, but this is a small casino. My interaction with the staff was pleasing, the staff helpful and attentive. It was a two+ hour drive to reach this casino to celebrate my wife's birthday. We won't be back "soon", but will return when we feel like experiencing the drive.
Small place without a pool. The room is a bit pricey, but the room is quite nice. The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap. A fair selection of slots and table games in the small casino.
I loved this casino! A lot of great slots, and they are not taking money all the time but give you the pleasure to win!
Not good for teens - as its a gambling establishment but great accomodationReal people Good for visiting surrounding countrysideGreat value restaurant and barOpen round the clockFunctionally a great place to stay if you dont mind the gambling .......
Its a nice drive to get to twin pines. Its clean and has a large variety of machines and a beautiful building. My only regret is that we didn't win anything!
This is my first time to go to Twin Pine Casino and my experience is something I have to share. It's a get away place to go. I'm not a gambler or nor a casino lover but my family including my spouse would go to this Indian Casino and I would always just rather be left behind. But this time I'm really happy that I joined them. The Customer service upon checking inn is very courteous, accommodating and pleasant. The room is very clean and roomy with a lot of space to move around. The restaurant where we had dinner was excellent. The waiter named Brandon Martin was very good and polite and gave us good customer service. The food was perfectly delicious and awesome. I have been to other Casino restaurant but the food is just like so commercial. But this experience with Twin Pine is always something that I can assure to recommend to my friends and others. I'm definitely going to be back there again. Love it!
I have stay here about once a month, as I do business with Calpine - Geysers, the geothermal plants above Middletown, CA. Twin Pine casino is a great place to stay, eat and do business with. Their friendly staff make you feel as though you have a home away from home. Although I travel on business, many travel through this area on wine-tours. The casino boasts a great place to eat with many wines, and also have a wine gift shoppe. Their are far too many attributes to mention, but I am thankful I have found this establishment.
Smoke needs to go. Great food and people who run the Casino but too much smoke. NO SMOKING. You smell like a cigarette when you leave this casino.
The hotel room was large and comfortable. It did need a microwave for leftovers. The TV reception was off and they need more choices of channels. The restaurant was great and the portions gave us enough for lunch the next day.Cig smoke was not a problem in the room or the restaurant. Elevators are close to check in. Free coffee bar in the morning was a nice touch.
