This place is very nice, barn like, wood ceilings and such. The wines are pretty good, and the overall experience makes the trip well worth it. Zins not too jammy, and friendly staff.
This was very busy so you had to be patient for the staff to pour your wine. Tasting fee is $5.00 but with a purchase would be refunded. Loved their wine label!
There was a very relaxed atmosphere. There were plenty of people behind the counter ready to pour the next wine at your pace. I never felt rushed. There was a nice selection of zinfindels and other wines. It was busy, but the staff took the time to make everyone feel important. I highly recommend!
This was our first stop on our wine tour of Lodi. The wines were terrific and the wine steward (Tom?) was extremely friendly and helpful, as it was our first time in Lodi. He suggested different wineries and places to visit -- gave us an insider view. It's sort of rustic in the tasting room and you can take a glass outside to enjoy the afternoon. A definite must do in lovely Lodi.
I haven't visited a lot of winery's but particularly enjoyed this because it felt very intimate. Was not as impressive as some but I enjoyed how simple and rustic it was. I also enjoyed how friendly and personable the staff was. Left with 2 bottles of wine, yummy!
We have gone to the Winery a few times now, and stayed at the Marissa house, and we love this place. We have been members for a little over a year now and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere in the tasting room is very fun and welcoming and all of the staff is more than happy to tell you about all of there wines.
We visited Klinker Brick last fall and fell in love with the Old Ghost. We live in Minnesota and were pleasantly surprised to find the KB Old Vine Zin at our local liquor store. But since we can't buy Old Ghost locally, I ordered one online for Valentine's Day. When UPS messed up the shipment, Stefan re-shipped my order overnight! So not only do we love the wine, but the staff is amazing as well. We recently visited again and also caught up with them at the Spring Wine Show.
Did you know that more grapes are grown in Lodi than in Napa and Sonoma combined? Or that there are many families that have been growing grapes for 4-6 generations? Or that the hot days and cool Delta night breezes make for ideal growing conditions for zins? Lodi wineries are well worth a weekend visit. How could you not enjoy wineries where the owner offers you wine from vines that are 102 years old. And the highlight? After our weekend visits to many great wineries everyone in our group of 6 agreed that Klinker Brick gets the gold medal. Each of us picked their wines as our personal favorites--and judges have agreed, awarding gold medals at the recent SF wine show. You should go.
This 3 generation family has a real gem with the tasting room in their old barn. A nice casual feel with plenty of room inside and out. Picnic area with tables outside too.Klinker Brick's Old Ghost Zinfandel is one of my all time favorite wines, but the everyday KB Zin is also very good. Don't miss the Farrah Syrah, another award winning wine.
We became wine club members in 2010 & couldn't be happier. The owners & staff go out of their way to make your sipping experience an enjoyable one. Their knowledge of the grapes, area, history, as this is a sixth generation wine family, is very interesting. They offer several events during the year for members. This last weekend we were treated to barrel barbecue of ribs, sliders, pasta salad, salad & rolls, all with great tasting wines. We've met a lot of nice people through our wine experience. If you want to join a winery, this is it, you can't go wrong.
11 of us went wine tasting and we really enjoyed the wines, vineyards and the people. We all loved the wine and they were all so delicious. The Ghost wine was my favorite..
We visited this winery because our pet was traveling with us and they are pet friendly. We tasted some very good wines and visited with the owners and employees. After that we bought a couple bottles and had a nice picnic outside. It was a very nice afternoon. We will definitely go back.
A very good variety of Reds and an excellent reputation led us to stop for tastes. We are so glad we did! Bought a splendid Farrah Syrah and a fruitful old vine Zin. This is a must stop in Lodi County.
Klinker Brick has some very nice wines and a lovely wine tasting area. It was a little difficult to find but we were in no hurry driving around the city
Klinker Brick has done a great job in turning a barn into a first rate wine tasting venue. The inside was beautifully decorated and the family and staff were very friendly and of course knowledgeable about their wine products. Don't miss the chance to taste their wines.
