rock-n-water - day trips

Our young adult group spent a week at RNW. It was amazing. Two days of rafting-Class III and Class IV (our first time) were incredible. A day in Evergreen Canyon and a day rock climbing and creek hiking. An amazing adventure. The staff is so well trained and dealt with all skill levels with ease-helping the less fit in our group feel safe while challenging those out for adventure. The chance to be in the wilderness and commune with God was incredible. The group can't wait to go again. Each time is a new and unbelievable adventure. Thanks to the wonderful staff who met our needs-the food was incredible, camping was great, each adventure a challenge and reward!

My husband, Jack, and I just returned from a Rock-N-Water white water rafting trip down the American River. It was amazing! The staff at Rock-N-Water are well trained and we felt very safe with our guide. The executive director voiced his vision with passion, to provide an adventurous , fun, and safe outdoor experience in rafting, rock climbing, hiking, camping, and more, while impacting his staff and campers with the beauty of creation and the Creator. We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay, the food in the outdoor kitchen and dining facility, and our campfire at night. I would highly recommend this company to youth workers in schools, churches, or recreation oriented youth groups, for a fantastic, rustic, adventurous, outdoor experience. It is also ideal for fourth grade student trips, who are visiting the local gold country museums and historic sights in Placerville, Coloma, and Sacramento, too! Additionally, this would make a terrific faculty retreat! Thank you, Rock-N-Water!

The staff at Rock-N-Water provided us with an outstanding experience, including the enthusiastic guide who took us for an afternoon trip down the rapids. The meals were delicious - especially the homemade salsa - and they easily accommodated our food allergies.Thank you for the fun memories!

My husband and I have rated and camped with them three summers in a row, and it is truly the highlight of our summer! The food is great, ALL the workers are wholesome but cool, and we always leave rejuvenated. I am making plans to bring my cross country team here for canyoneering and rafting - they will have a blast and leave closer to God than they came. Amazing place!

Summer is usually the most memorable time due to the camps and trips that occur during the season. Rock-N-Water definatly delievers a camp experience that few people get in their lifetime! Our youth camp did a four day trip which included teambuilding, rock climbing, canyoneering and white water rafting. After the first day of teambuilding the kids were so excited and loving camp, and we had yet to scratch the surface of adventure waiting for us! The facilities are true to the camp feel and yet modern enough that you don't find yourself missing anything (yes there are flush toliets and hot showers!). The food was wonderful, creative and satisfying, even on the outings. And of course the staff is exceptional, fun, and well trained. The many oppotunities to experience God through His creation was so refreshing and seeing the kids do so without much prompting was priceless. Thank you Rock-N-Water for a memorable week and providing a place for kids to get out of their comfort zone and allow God to work in their lives.

My 2 kids went on a 7 day trip with their youth group, Rock-N-Water was 2 of those days. They both couldn't say enough about their 2 days with Rock-N-Water. Canyoneering was such a highlight. They thought the staff were outstanding, and gifted in every area. Safety and FUN!

Excellent! Staff are engaging, fun, and skilled. They provided the perfect balance of encouragement, challenge, and safety. And the food was delicious - not typical summer camp food. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I had an amazing experience at Rock N Water's 4th grade 49er living history overnight camp. Even when it started pouring down rain, the Rick N Water staff was so experienced, prepared and professional that it didn't bother us one bit. We learned a TON about California history and especially enjoyed how the staff stayed in character (1850's era), for the entire 36hr trip. So fun!!! The food was incredible, the accommodations were better than most campgrounds I've ever stayed at and the staff is the kindest, most God-fearing, FUN group around. Loved it!!!!

Going to rock was a totally awesome experience. It caters to people of all ages (Probably because it's Gods creation). Hello I'm Debbie, and I'm 20. I went to Rock-N-Water with a youth group; we had a great time hanging out and doing crazy things in nature (they were safe) :) with hardly enough time to catch our breath (not literally but close). But what really touched me most was having sweet encounters with God. My family has had a hard year in a half (aside from my personal troubles) and I was feeling pretty beat. The week before I came to Rock-N-water, I went on a missions trip to La Paz; That wasn't easy either :) but I was blessed in it (Lots of growing) :) .By the time I got to Rock-N-Water I was ready for some more battle, but God had told me that rest was in store for me. So when we got there our guide ran up to greet us and get us situated (The Guides are great by the way), and your like me you'll just sleep under the stars :) which means early rising. So I had a lot of time to spend with God. It seemed that being away in nature, and the people who work there encourage you to seek God in these ways. I left Rock-N-Water with a full cup. If God allows I'll be back. I definitely recommend this camp!!!

Rock-N-Water is an awesome place to go with your youth group or family (or with anyone you like really)!!! I had such a fun and amazing time. They are great at catering to your groups needs and at pushing your limits of what you think you are capable of. I am always impressed with the staff and how well they mesh with whatever group we bring. I have been there twice with my church Summit, www.summitsanmarcos.com, and most recently with my family for a short family trip. I am definitely looking forward to my next trip there!!!

We loved our week at Rock N Water. We spent two days rafting, playing games, a day rappelling, creek hiking, canyoneering and exploring camp. It is nice to have a home base with wonderful food and facilities. Our hikes were knowledgeable and safe. This was our fifth trip and just as good as the first. Love it!

I spent a week at Rock-N-Water, adventuring, praying, laughing, and eating alongside 20 teens. None of us had ever visited the camp before. We got stuck in traffic along the 500-mile drive, but I forgot about that completely when we were greeted by camp staff, eagerly awaiting our arrival at the camp entrance, cheering and yelling for us.The camp staff is phenomenal. They put God first, they love people, and they love their jobs, and it all shows. We all left feeling like a part of their family, and counting down the days until next year. I cannot recommend this camp highly enough for youth groups looking to grow and disciple their teen leaders. I arrived with 20 teens from 10 different schools, no more than 3 kids knowing each other in advance. I returned home with 20 teens who are virtually inseparable, who conquered deep-seated fears and insecurities. GET OUTSIDE!

I jumped on board as a youth leader for a friend's church last minute as I have been rafting before. I did not know what to expect, but the people were so great. It is a true camping and rafting experience. The guides all work together and even the guides that were not assigned to our group took great efforts to mingle and socialize with. They were super accommodating whenever someone needed something. Whit, Will, Keenan, Jessie, Jason, and Eric are tubular.Thank you.

My daughter's senior trip and my son's California history trip were both done with Rock-N-Water. I can't say enough about their experiences and would recommend them with my whole heart. I work at their school so I can attest to the experiences from a mom perspective and as a client. Professional, Christ-centered, excellent!
