Its a true gem in the wilderness! Looking for gold in gold country and finding it is easy once you've been to ProspectorsGreat IPA and Stout and they have food too!

Very friendly atmosphere with a good selection of craft ales. The owner insisted that we sample several prior to settling on a final choice. Tough call, they were all very good. This is a fairly small taproom with a steady stream of locals coming through that provide great advice on things to do in the park and surrounding area. I liked the brews so much that I bought a small growler to take some with me. Sadly, no food is available on site, but there are numerous places nearby. Great place to cool off after a long hiking day.

So you're on your way to Yosemite and traveling through the beautiful little town of Mariposa and need a good beer. Well, you're in luck. Located just off the main street is the tap room for Prospector's Brewing Company. They usually have their four signature beers plus a seasonal or two. The place is small but friendly, and the beer is reasonably priced and growlers are available to take with you for that high country get-a-way. Also food can be bought at the Subway on the corner and brought in since they don't serve food.

Great beer, ale's, stouts,wheat and red. Something for everyone and all well brewed. Friendly staff and many locals stop in at the end of the day. Also very reasonable prices on growlers.

This is the only place in Mariposa to get delicious craft beer. The bartender was very knowledgeable. They have delicious beer for any pallet, no matter what you like: wheat, IPA, stout. Outdoor seats. Rustic, modern decor. Recommend for any beer drinker!

Just happened upon this tiny place, just off the main road in Mariposa, and were very pleasantly surprised at their beer. So much so, that we took a growler of their scotch ale with us to savour sometime over the next couple of weeks, as we continue our vacation ...

This is a place to include and go to while in Mariposa. Owned by "Terry" and backed up by Hillary, they serve some real fine draft beers microbrewed in their own brewery. This is a place where you want to stay and just slowly enjoy a draft or two and just lax. Empress your friends and give them a souvenier Growler

Prospectors is across the street from the B&B we stayed in during our Yosemite adventure. What a pleasant find! Packed with both locals and travelers, this small bar serves nothing but their own beer, pretzels and water (for those of you who will bring in their 12yr old, like we did :) They sell Growlers that can be refilled, and we saw locals bring them in 6 at a time. After several refills, our 32oz growler made a great souvenir. Don't miss this if you are in the area!
