This is a great place for the whole family to cool off on a sunny Summer afternoon. It is a $24 million, 12-acre project that has been two years in the making & opened this May. During the Summer it is open 7-Days a week & will only be open weekends when the kids go back to school. It is not just slides & a lazy river but an entire aquatic park complete with Olympic sized pool & diving boards which the local high schools will be using for their aquatics programs. The park has 4 slides... Two large water slides (Terminal Velocity) where guests can participate in "mat racing" from a tower down to the water below. An open-air water slide and a tube slide from the same platform. Unlike many water parks we have been to, all the slides finish up in their own tube instead of a deep pool (having lifeguarded at a park before I can tell you this is much safer for the kids). There is also an area for the younger kids. "Lil' Jumpers" water play structure is for kids from toddlers to about 10-yrs. The Meridian Springs pool is shallow enough for youngsters to play and take swimming lessons(4-ft deep).Ground Geysers shoot up from the concrete to surprise visitors. The park has a lazy River called "The jet Stream" which is surrounded by young trees & picnic tables. They provide Life jackets & tubes to float around. & they even have their own wave simulator "Hydroplane FlowRider". You can practice riding body-board or stand-up for the upcoming North American Flow Tour! Daily admission to the entire water park is $18 (adults) $14 (juniors) and $9 (toddlers), with children under 30 inches tall admitted free. They also have season passes (which we bought for our daughter) for added savings about $47 for the whole summer. If your going to only do the day pass then I suggest making a full day of it.. there is plenty to do & the park has several small concession areas as well as a large one equipped to make a perfect birthday party special. Even as I write this review the kids are on their way for one last summer splash before school starts in August.
