They were very nice to me when I found myself stranded in this town. It seems like there is no way out once you arrive here. Various suggestions were made to assist me. Thank-you, but someone should start a shuttle service to the airports!!

Two very nice women working on Nov 6, gave me great info on town, history of area, and found me a room for the night.

Very helpful. Lots of info and brochures and a knowledgeable person happy to give you ideas and insights into what to do in Nevada City and the surrounding area.

The staff was very responsive when I e-mailed to find out if the Fall colors were out -- and they gave good advice.

Very friendly and helpful at finding local sites. Nice location right in town. Also very friendly on the phone if you just call them.

While we went and saw all the booths and the event that seemed to be designed to boost business and drain your wallet of money, I did not see anything special about it. Just a conglomeration of Bay Area Yuppies and Hipsters with bouts of "CES", (Chronic Entitlement Syndrome).While I am not a smoker, they have even posted at all the entrances to the event that the historic district is a Non-Smoking area with their city ordinance printed on the signs. If you are a smoker you have to walk a mile to the other side of the barricade, (Like a metal pole protects the event goers from lung caner.), and do your smoking. Just another strike against the California Slaves in the "Peoples Republic of California".If at all possible, (Considering that you are a normal Human Being with common sense.), avoid this event. If you are a Yuppie idiot, then enjoy something that I am sure you morphed into a bastardized event to suit yourself. I have a funny feeling this did not start out the way it ended up. Oh yes and the parking is ridiculous. All of the idiots that can give a crap about pedestrians, all the people that just drive around aimlessly, illegally parking and where are the Nevada City Police? They are all walking around the event eating Bratwurst and talking among themselves in the side streets!

We were looking for local trails to hike, and the staff was knowledgeable and attentive- we found just what we wanted!

this is an amazing architectural place for business, for corporate meeting and just for family rest !

Great pamphlets for hiking and wine tasting, maps are a little confusing to read. Nice staff! Easy to find the Chamber of Commerce

We were cordially welcomed -- picked up a number of brochures, and heard about a lot of future activities. We definitely want to come back based on our experience.

Pop into the chamber to find out where to hike, see the Yuba, grab a bite to eat, buy some See's candy, learn about the gold rush and get acquainted to what music is playing in town or what play interests you. There's a ton to do in a tiny town!

We visited this lovely small town just after a snow had fallen in the nearby mountains. It was beautiful. We visited almost every place that was shown in the Hallmark movie, "The Christmas Card." It was great to visit the church, the restaurant, etc. It is a great place to relax and spend at least one day!

The fabulous crew at the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce know just about everything, stop in and say hi, they're bound to suggest something for you to do or answer a question about the area.
