They did it again. First Bull Taco decided to share the other side of it's space with brilliant local seafood chef Davin Waite and now in the back of the space (down the hall just past the bathrooms in the Wrench and Rodent) you will find the stainless steel and rustic charmed Beer Brewing Company. Cozy space inside (8 small bar stools), nice sized beer garden outside and more and more often you'll hear some of the local musicians either earning their chops or seasoned and sitting in.Such a brilliant, communal collaboration. The place has been open for a while, but I just got a chance to check it out last weekend. There is no signage out front, so go into the front door of Bull Taco, turn left into Wrench and Rodent and down the short corridor you will find it. Or, sometimes the back gate leading to the beer garden is open from the parking lot too.There were about 8 beers on tap. I tried the grapefruit infused beer while my friend tried the "taco' ale. Both were very tasty. You can order food from either restaurant. You just need to go up to their counters to order and then do them the kindness of letting them know where you're sitting (because they can't see it from their vantage point).I ordered sushi and he ordered tacos. We sat inside bull taco while we ate, but we heard some live music starting up out back, so we took our beers out there and enjoyed listening to bunch of young lads with a Buddy Holly, Everly Brothers vibe. I've seen several posts from the Beer Brewing Company's facebook page about who's playing music "tonight" and like most smaller pubs and restaurants they use a Facebook page in lieu of a website.I think the music is an early on, early off kind of thing. At least this night is started at 6 and was just one set, but a good once I must say.The whole place combined is good for family, friends, dates and I'd be comfortable going there solo. All in all a great experience and good to know my money is going to support local, small businesses who are putting in great efforts to make it worthwhile.
