In the morning, it is to sell locally grown veggies and fruits and in the evening it is more food carnival. Check it out if you are there midweek. They block off the street. It felt like a throwback to the 1960s. I liked it.

We are staying at Wyndham Oceanside at the pier and this was awesome. Our unit is a timeshare and has a kitchen and so the first day we arrived we went and filled our refrigerator full of fresh produce. It was so great that we plan to go back time allowing and bring home some of the produce that we found at the market before we leave. I wish there was more fresh fish available but that was a nice option to have and the produce was beautiful. Don't forget the Almonds!! All kinds of new and interesting flavors. The kids even had a good time picking out strawberries and oranges.

This is a fabulous market place with fresh California produce - so nice, as well as various other vendors - photographs of local areas by a local, essential oils, loose leaf tea, fresh baking, several unique clothing vendors, and then a couple of the usual cheap touristy types of vendors. Then several food vendors and fresh coffee. Try the pickled garlic vendor - and then buy some - it's amazing!Current hours are 9 to 1 on Thursdays. Some of the same vendors are at the Sunset Market later in the evening - the produce vendors aren't.

The title says it all. We purchased a lot of freshly grown produce. It's only on Thursdays so don't miss it.

The info booth & table is manned by a very helpful person, she told us there were about 60 vendors here for the morning market and about 180 vendors for the afternoon/evening market, just a block or so away. We are looking forward to also visiting that Sunset Market later today!About 1/3 or more of the vendors are selling clothing and other non-edible things. Fresh produce is on display (strawberries and mushrooms were especially appealing), fresh breads and pastries are reasonably priced and in such a great variety. Whole wheat sour dough bread? Wonderful option!Flavored garlic oils, dips, popcorn, and chips are interspersed between the various food booths where we found Vietnamese, Mexican, Filipino foods, and, my favorite: the crepe maker! We weren't able to work ourselves into the line up for him when we visited Little Italy's Market a couple of weeks ago and there he was! Right here in Oceanside! Our prayers were answered! His booth is called "La Creperie" and we indulged ourselves in the fried banana, rum, and chocolate crepe. Well, if you are going to sin (with sweets), this is the way to go! Watching him perform his skill and magic with the batter, toppings, and personalized changes (per request), make this a place you gotta spend some time.We also bought some great Ahi (sashimi grade) from a sea food booth (OMG! beautiful fish and seafood!) and can't wait to marinate our choice in soy sauce and give it a quick once-over on a well-heated fry pan. Some grilled mushrooms on the side, a little salad, and this is perfection on a plate. The Farmers Market borders the Civic Center and Library. The building is so unique and beautiful; the colors, architecture, and welcoming entrances enhance Oceanside's ambience. If you stop in at the "Friends of the Library" part of the library, you can find some really good books for a very small price. We found books by our favorite authors that we had been searching for, unsuccessfully. Just a short walk (1/4 mile, maybe?) up Pier View Way is a shopping center with Panda Express, El Pollo Loco, WalMart Market, and a variety of other businesses. We'll file that away in our skulls for the next time we come to Oceanside.

All the expected wares and products of a market are readily available. Fresh produce, some just picked that morning and fresh made bread and pastry line booths alongside great artisan treasures. The real show stealer isn't the array and diversity of products but the energy and enthusiasm of volunteers and vendors. You can't help but get caught up in the excitement. Plan to spend at least a couple hours.I can't wait to get back and attend the January 15, 2015 market.

This farmer market has grown, now it is downtown and takes up most of the area to the side of the civic center. Not as much Farmer's Market as it used to be, they now allow different vendors selling a lot of different wares, liked seeing the Friends of the library present and bought a few good used books while there. A pleseant way to spend the morning at the beach.

This farmers market is one of the best!! Tons of free samples, fresh sweet fruit and its next to our beautiful library. You can even catch an ocean breeze. You gotta go!!

Wonderful market with way more than fresh fruits and vegetables! Lots of herbals, oils, and artisan breads! The strawberries were the sweetest I've ever tasted !! So much fun !

Thursday morning, lots of vendors and good food; Thursday evening, even more vendors and more good food. There are lots of people that come to purchase, but is remains unhurried, friendly and a delight to the senses. My favorite: the heirloom tomatoes..... But the Philippine cuisine is not far behind! And then there are the cheeses, vegetables, nuts, and stuff!

This market has everything from local produce to fresh fish to crafts. It is on Thursday and is definitely worth visiting. The unique variety of foods can meet everyone's pallet. Stay latter for the street fair at night. Come hungry because the variety of food is worth sampling as you go.

Great market, nice people, excellent selection of local products, produce and hot food. Nice location, main street in downtown, and starts Thursday morning at 9am.

A great little market, not as big as I was anticipating, but a good range of items for sale, from clothing to produce to balsamic vinegars to goats cheese, dips, breads, plants, honey. Lots of samples available for you to try before you buy, and prices reasonable. Really loved the unique goats cheeses I tried and bought there, as well as the dips, and salads.Would recommend a visit, a must if you are staying in Oceanside.

Typical street market. Only one or two truly unique vendors and they come back for the Sunset Market which is way better and worth a special trip.
