We were here about 1-1/2 years ago and enjoyed their sparkling wine at the time along with the whites. We think the winery is maturing and it shows with their red wines. The Amador valley is known for the bold Zinfandels and the Andis zins are now showing their that they are among the best in the valley. It is fun to watch and taste as a winery starts to find its place with many of the established nearby wineries. Don't pass this place up, the wines are great and the people who work there are interestingly, informative and just fun to talk to.

The very unique use of barrel staves in creating the walls and surroundings make for a pleasant experience when entering. It is a super modern facility, but the aged barrel staves are fun, carved with the names of the original 220 wine club members, The Founders Club -- who were club members before the wine was produced! Now names are added as you become a wine club member of a certain level! It is a picturesque view, including "Beware of Rattlesnake" signs, even though they don't really have any! You will notice not much is being said about the wine. It is satisfactory and interesting to try, but I was not sold on the wine. However, a unique finding: Wines on tap! It's an opportunity to taste wines straight from the barrel before they are bottled. Further, you bring in your clear, recyclable, refillable, 1000 cc carafes, and get it filled with whatever is on tap at the time. Very interesting.

We were given a private tour of the facilities and treated to some barrel tastings and the regular tastings. Staff was very personable and knowledgeable. Small production winery (7000 cases a year) that is making good wine. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area.

I've been to Napa and Sonoma many, many times but this was my first time seeing the wineries on Shenendoah Road in Amador County. It was like Napa 30 years ago. The wineries were all new, nice, and tastings were $5 (Not 25 to 50 like Napa) with the $5 going towards your first purchase and the wines were well worth purchasing.

Andis is up and coming. We've been there a few times. The wines are good, but the tasting room had a smell of lacquer every so slightly that detracted from the wines. Hey, the place is very new and that will fade over time. We were treated to a nice tour by the wine maker and really enjoyed our time there.

This was another stop last weekend. A big, airy, modern tasting area. Windows everywhere with a great view. The wines are good. Not our favorites but they have a couple of great deals for better than average wines. The staff there was super friendly.

Pay for tastings. Nothing special except the straight from barrel system that allows you to refill the purchased Andis carafe. Nice hilltop location. Would be perfect for picnics.

They have beautifully manicured grounds, and the tasting room is placed up on a hill, giving excellent views of the surrounding landscape and vineyards. Wine was good. View and scenery was even better.

Andis produces superb wines from top to bottom of their tasting list. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and if you’re lucky enough to catch Mark the wine maker he will gladly share all you want to know about Andis wines and how they are made. Their Wine Club has really fun events with good food to pair with their excellent wines.

Four for tasting and we had been there before, it seems the wines were better and we all purchased something. It is a unusual very modern metal structure but staff was friendly and we were glad we stopped again. We would recommed it to our friends. If you purchase wine the tasting fee is waived.

This winery has a great sparkling wine. Start with a sampling of the whites then buy a bottle of the sparkling wine and go sit under the umbrellas and enjoy! After finishing the sparkling go back in and finish with the reds...all their wines are great!

We almost drove past this winery since we'd already been to a few others, but my husband and I were so intrigued by the building we decided to give it a shot and see what this place was all about. I am so glad we did and now we are fans of several varieties of their wine. We even joined the wine club - HA! Super friendly people and everyone was very happy!

The builidng is very modern and unique compared to the more rustic settings in the foothill wineries. It's eco-friendly and worth a visit just to see it. The property and views are great. We had a pleasant tasting experience, and were particularly impressed with the sauvignon blanc, which was favorably rated in Wine Enthusiast.

I decided to check out Andis during this most recent trip to one of my favorite wine tasting areas. The winery was very promising, providing an excellent view and a fresh look. Andis wine was on par with wine from other wineries. Unfortunately, Andis lacked the attentive staff that continue to draw me back to other wineries. We were served the first wine of the flight shortly after arriving... then we ceased to exist (though the winery was relatively empty. We stood there for quite a while, making eye contact and acknowledging the two staff, yet nothing. I was very surprised as most wineries that I experience in Pymouth are warm and welcoming. I wouldn't vote this winery out completely, but it is certainly not on my current revisit list.
